I've got a 533mhz Celeron with 256mb of ram, and some unknown hard drive and various other components sitting in pieces in my closet. I'm thinking about setting it up and putting Ubuntu Server on it, but I just can't get myself to actually do it. I'm not sure where I'd put it anyway.

I'm kind of disappointed that the only other person who picked VIII hasn't played any others. Is there really something wrong with this game that I'm the only one who liked it? I liked it too. Though, it's very close between 7 and 8. I loved FFVIII. The only part I didn't like was th big plot twist...

Anyone use one? They seem to be surging in popularity in the last little while. My friend has one, and I can understand why they're so popular. Maybe I just didn't really notice the craze until now though? At any rate, I'm considering getting one, but I'm not sure if I'd use it. I don't really know ...

What do you find comfort in knowing?

I had just gotten out of the shower, and I was thinking about how front loading washing machines save energy by relying on gravity to move the clothes. That made me think about how some devices might be designed to rely on things which aren't really reliable. I can't think of an example off the top ...

Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence - The Glass Prison

Starts off with static/fuzz/rain, then a bell, then a sweet bass riff for a bit, very soothing. Then the drums and guitar and it picks up into a fast paced metal ballad. One of my favorite thirteen minutes of recorded music.
