Re: 0867: "Herpetology"

This one really sucked. Nothing whatsoever worthy of attention. I'd have to agree, except for one thing. The alt-text comes off as kind of snobbish to me; no Randy, it's not that amazing of a fact that I'd need to clear out the rest of my brain to fit it in. Sure, it's an interesting observation, b...

Re: 0858: "Milk"

The argument that lactation is a common sexual desire is misguided, but I believe it actually comes from a true place. Men probably find breasts to be attractive because they feed their possible children. But for most people, the line is drawn at actually wanting to lactate your sexual partner to tu...

Re: 0859: "("

a) This is a free webcomic. Okay, so we don't pay for it. That doesn't necessarily mean XKCD should be criticized less. b) If he decided to go to once weekly, monthly, rarely, bluemoonly, there is no valid bitching. Well actually, if he were to spend a month and work come up with that comic, it'd m...

Re: 0859: "("

This was...just downright lazy. It's like taking the context of a comic about an annoyance, and simply stating what that is. There was no story, no characters, and no art-which are what XKCD is supposed to entail, isn't it? However, I would've personally let the art/characters slip if the observatio...

Re: 0858: "Milk"

What. The. Fuck. Honestly, I was stunned after reading this comic. Since when is lactation something to be attracted to? The joke would work if Randall hadn't implied that a lot of men think this, which is of course absolute bullshit. It's an attempt at random shock humor that turned into this distu...

Re: 0827: "Business Idea"

I actually got a good chuckle out of this one. What should have happened was that he DIDN'T get the money, but he ended up getting it anyway. Nothing really wrong with this comic, and although it's not amazing, it's decent and works.

Re: 0824: "Guest Week: Bill Amend (FoxTrot) "

I really don't get what the big debate here is. This is a textbook example of satire-Amend has taken some of the most used themes in XKCD and made comics about them, exaggerating them to a silly extent.

Re: 0824: "Guest Week: Bill Amend (FoxTrot) "

Very good spoof of Randall's work. I'd find it pretty funny if people actually thought that they were meant to be serious comics, because they're so blunt and "nerdy" that they couldn't possibly be meant to be serious.

Re: 0818: "Illness"

This is sad and all, but why make it into a comic? Randy just could have put a notice on the top of the site, and reference the blag for more info about it. And what else confuses me is that even though he's not working on a schedule...he's still going to put up stuff every M/W/F That doesn't make m...

Re: 0817: "Mutual"

...otherwise I can put a blank sheet of paper on a wall and call it art that forces you to examine your own prejudices toward the color white, and what that means to you. Art shouldn't force you to invent meaning. Question meaning? Certainly. Make you create its meaning? That's just laziness. I ten...

Re: 0817: "Mutual"

I didn't particularly like this comic. It's mostly because this idea was already portrayed in a similar comic before (as someone already mentioned). This means that Randy recycled an idea, but ended up making it worse than the previous one. In my eyes, the comics haven't been as good as they used to...
