Re: 1190: "Time"

I've been around, commenting rarely, since the beginning of time. Sadly adding a comment here. (And was I confused when I got to this page in the forum and I saw images from the beginning of time....)

Looks like a new beginning.

Just posting to say that I'm still a waiter. I've been since the first few hours. Sometimes I am just amazed at the trip the waiting is taking and when I read the posts, other waiters have made all necessary comments. I do love the "facebug" comment! I imagine that this is a trip that earl...

Is there something wrong with the times stamp. It is 6:13 pm here and the time stamp is showing 5:13 utc. It should be 10:13 utc. Right? What is up with that?

Re: 1190: "Time"

I just finished watching a lecture that Lord Randall gave at Christopher Newport University (his alma mater.) One of the questions someone asked him was about the five comics dealing with the boy in the barrel. ( http://xkcd.com/1/ ). Lord Randall seemed to imply that the comic may yet complete. May...

Re: 1190: "Time"

There should be an accounting of predictions....
Someone predicted a loop (our castle is recursive) - the sea will come, night will fall and the castle will be washed away. The sea will fall, the sun will rise and two people will lie by the sea.... And more timewaiters will join us.

When you have 2000 computers trying to update at the same time with an already over-subscribed Internet pipe, you tend to turn off all updates. Of course, if you don't update Windows, some sort of evil will befall you. With Java, we have to keep multiple versions on computers because each applicatio...
