I LOVE dragons and would be super pleased with a female protagonist, though neither of these things are required. Go go go! You've read the Pern books, of course. Re: I need a book recommendation (Renamed : Recom'd me a boo

Halp! I like scifi and have not had enough exposure to fantasy to decide on it (but I imagine I'd be into it). I like world building and strongly emotive characters. I prefer complex plots. I'd rather it be hopeful than bleak. I have zero tolerance for disturbing things (nothing unsettling or creepy...

stuff and things I appreciate it! You were able to say how you believe dieting to be the better option, but were also supportive of my plans to exercise. Easiest is not necessarily the healthiest. I am very sedentary. I sit all day at work and then come home and play video games. Exercise will be of more benefit and weight loss to me. And you still have yet to go actually exercise, yes? If you don't fix your diet, and you don't exercise... then noth...

Re: Minimight!

Yea, diets don't really work. Because then you are on the mindset of "diet" vs. "not on a diet". That means even if you do meet your weight goals you will then "end" the diet and very likely gain it all back. You need to eat what you can live with eating, but eat less ...

I don't get it. It's proof they know what Stargate's supposed to be, but have just decided not to do it that way, save a few good episodes. I also appreciated that there was minimal baby drama. Man, the 80's were over the top and corny. But would have been so fun to be a part of! I was born in '86. So I really grew up in the '90s. What did the '90 have? Jincos, TLC, and Boys II Men. Thanks but I would rather have had Janis Joplin (yay 60's!) or Wham! (yay 80's).

It seems the basic snag everyone is hung up on, is wether or not the amount of blame/responsibility placed on the victim necessarily lessens the amount of blame/responsibility of the perpetrator. I think this is where the discussion stems from. Those who are firmly against any sort of victim blaming...
