Re: "Lease" Discussion

Slight tangent - a friend of mine was wondering how you'd translate " I don't know what you just said because I was thinking about Batman " into Latin. Anyone know? I'm not completely sure, but it should be something like Nescio quid dixisti quod putabo de Batman now to translate batman.....

Re: "Alternate Currency" Discussion

Guys, you're all making a massive assumption here. The alternate currency is government endorsed. That means they get to decide the value of the picture. Also The wording is "deterrmined by" it doesn't say "directly proportional to" the number of funny pictures. Because the major...

Re: "Road Rage" Discussion

I don't think the "shot in the psychological dark" is too difficult to make. Someone who regularly tail-gates at high speed has an above average chance of having been involved in a serious accident. There is no penalty too severe for tail-gating at high speed. It is a deliberate means of i...

Re: Seeking person with van in UK who wants 2000 playpen balls

So, what diameter are these balls? If the transporter gets to keep 2000, approximately how many is the "large number" ? We need to be able to calculate just how large a van will be needed and to work out the cost of fuel to determine whether 2000 balls is sufficient to cover the cost of th...

Ah, I see now. I thought you were saying Star Wars wasn't sci-fi because of the Force, not because it had no contact with Earth. I don't see why a connection with Earth is really necessary. Alternate universes, alien civilizations, etc. are all perfectly good playgrounds for science fiction. I read...

Movies to AVOID

So, what are they and more importantly why?

I would like to suggest:

Muriel's Wedding

Low budget, badly acted, over hyped piece of crap. It was supposed to be a comedy, I didn't laugh once.

I love Toni Collette, just not in this film.
