Re: Gifted Education

I've been in gifted education since 2nd grade, and I can say that it really didn't carry a stigma(at least in my school). Elementary School(grades 2-5): The students are pulled out of class for the 2nd half of the day(lunch-> the end of the day) Once during the 6-day cycle. We would all gather in th...

Re: Instruments you wish you played

I wish I could play the cello or string bass, like many here. Right now, I'm learning the Violin(have been for about 6 years). It's really fun and I recommend it, although some people say it looks tiny compared to me...(I'm 6' around 240 lbs DX) and I just started learning guitar and mallet percussi...

About Nightfire, I don't know if this was the gamecube version only or not, but Christmas Jones had a male voice when she was killed, it cracks me up so much!

being depressed, heh. That's another thing that's difficult about writing: emotion. Sometimes I start to jot something down when it's on my mind, but I can never get back into that emotion that I was in if I want to continue working on the piece.

Re: Composing - a natural ability?

I've got pretty good pitch and I normally have an instrument nearby. However, I'm not good enough at piano or guitar to play out my ideas. I can do it on a violin.

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

ah, Broadway. I'm in our high school production of "Bye Bye Birdie." I love a lot of styles of music, from electronic to rock. My favorite type of music to play on my violin would maybe be Disney music, I'm not exactly sure why.... Maybe it's the half step slides

Re: Disorganized mess

My computer is definitely neater than my room, but it's starting to go to the dark side as well. My room isn't too bad, but it's getting slightly worse every day. I need to remind myself to put stuff away. The hardest part for me is finding a place to put things where I'll remember to go to later.

Composing - a natural ability?

I'm trying to start to write my own music. Sometimes I find a song that perfectly matches a moment, but there are times when I want to be the person to write the perfect song to express something. However, I'm not that good. It seems like some people are just really good at it from the start, but is...

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Hello, I'm boingloing. I'm a high school student who was recently hooked on the xkcd comic series. I enjoy math, science, music, language, and learning, but I seriously hate homework. Thankfully, I've managed to shorten my high school journey down to three years instead of the usual four(let's hope ...
