Re: 1480: "Super Bowl"

And you gotta call this one Super Bowl XLIX (watching now for a descending brick-shaped attorney). But to do exactly what Randall is ranting about ... here's a (probably) little-known sports trivia item: The NFL has already decided the next one will be branded Super Bowl 50 and not Super Bowl L. I ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

How would one introduce the topic into this thread of the newly announced title of Star Wars: Episode VII without having that discussion be off topic and how would I escape the slings an arrows of outrageous fortune that would surely follow if I were so foolish as to suggest this as a relevant topic...

Re: A Party for Socially Anxious People

Dear fellow OTTers, from the feedback to the invitation to the conference I conclude that we are all socially anxious people. (Yes, me too.) One can probably find any excuse to feel anxious (that's kind of the deal with this kind of thing). Maybe Sustainabilizer has some contingency plans. Frankly,...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I have been truly fascinated by this thread in addition to the original work that spawned this thread. I’ve pondered two philosophical questions for a few months and especially after Randall received the Hugo Award: 1. There are potentially millions of people who have seen “Time” and this thread. As...

I was pleasantly surprised to see Randall's book advertised by Amazon.com on IMDb.

The ad appeared on this page and is likely to be a context sensitive ad.

Must be the former, because the latter is clearly correct: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_while_John_had_had_had_had_had_had_had_had_had_had_had_a_better_effect_on_the_teacher If Had is a person; Hadhad is Had's dog; and Hadhad gave birth to puppies. This comic reminds of a Roller Coaster Tycoon park that I created a few years ago. I designed the park so that the visitors could enter, but could not leave. I also made all of the attractions, food and drink free.

I found out how to cook, and do it pretty well, but my recipes are optimum on the larger scale. Well, this is a problem since I usual...
