definetly give it a few days wether or not you use the alcohol and watch for signs of corrosion on the exposed pins of the mobo. if it happens, spray electronics tuner cleaner on a q-tip and scrub it away.... i might be wrong, but it fixed the keyboard controller's ic's when liquid got spilled in my...

Almost financed one. I was right up to being ready to sign the contract but I pulled out when I got a call from my local dealer that an '02 concorde had just come in used with 8000 on the odometer. Had to go for it. At that time I was heavily into car audio and the stock amplified 9 speaker setup wi...

While it will fit, the question that you might fire off to apple support is, will the Software on your smaller Ipod allow for a larger capacity HDD? The sizes are all the same, so it will physically fit, however, if the software/OS was designed for a 30gb, and you put in an 80 gb in, it might cap of...

I'm thinking that that may be some primitave form of an alarm, perhaps? That's really weird!

Edit.... from a second look it couldn't be an an alarm! What would the purpose be? Maybe it's part of a way to verify connectivity of a proprietary device (hence the LED)... but i'm still stumped.

If a simple reseating didn't cure your woes, Pull the card out and do a smell-test to see if anything smells burnt. Capacitors sometimes *can* leak and not immedeatly affect performance, but if anything got crispy-hot, you will def. be able to smell it up close. Then it is ultimatley safe to worry!

Grandpa used to tell me that if you fill a steel coffee can full of gasoline and toss in a match (while standing back) it will ignite and burn plesantly on the surface, enabling it to act like a heater if you were outside. Never tried it... but he said it was a wartime thing to do to stay warm.
