Near and Far comic

So there's this new webcomic, Near and Far, at http://www.nearandfarcomic.com .

And apparently they are xkcd fans over there, as seen on the shirt in this comic:

I tend to agree with Hodge. If you take the time to type out "considering the concept that variations on a theme is the crux of creativity" and don't take the time for a heads-up it can come off as more detached than if you add a quick intro. It reads like you don't particularly care for ...

What you wrote works when written down because the reader has the opportunity to reparse the sentance to understand. I'll bet you phrased and re-phrased your answer several times before making the statement. It was in an online chat conversation. You used the word "crux". That's why it's ...

Intelligent or pompous?

This forum was the only place I could think to go with both instant internet feedback and above average intelligence. I just said something to a friend and got really mad when he said I was being pompous. He asked me, "what's up?" I suppose the proper response would have been, "nothin...

I agree with the critics of this comic though, I thought when Tesla Coil came out that Randall was back to his usual brilliance, but it's slowly slipping away. I want the originality that attracted me to the thing! I can't say I was disappointed in this at all. But that could be because my name is ...

Well it depends on the werewolves, but a lot of them can be characterized under the "zombie" or "vampire" heading, depending on how many of them there are and how smart they are.

Vampires or Zombies

So here's this theory that I read... somewhere. (On livejournal maybe?) The theory is that ALL horror movies are either vampire movies or zombie movies. You either have one/few highly intelligent (vampire)s, or many/overwhelming unintelligent (zombie)s. So far I have been able to apply this to all t...

xkcd is my hero

This morning I had a crazy dream that Randall Munroe had to save the world from terrorists.

And then he took me to the moon, but I think that was just incidental.

1. Cheese and chocolate go so well TOGETHER.

2. If I had to give one up, it would be chocolate. Chocolate is like a bonus. Cheese is like... lifeblood.

3. Kicking someone in the face until they catch on fire sounds a lot better than giving up either chocolate or cheese.
