If so, how many?
If not, would car batteries do the job d'ya think?

My very mysterious software CD

Ok, I realise that this thread is probably more suitable on a music tech kind of forum, but whatever, you people seem nice. I have this CD knocking around with a load of MIDI/audio software (most of it cracked) some of which I used on my old PC, but I just recently upgraded to a mac (yay) so I check...

Re: Speed of sound help

Ok...
But how come on the chart the denser mediums have smaller values than less dense?

Carbon Dioxide: 259
Helium: 965

Lead: 1960
Steel: 5960

Or is steel actually denser than lead and helium denser than carbon dioxide?
and my thinking is completely backwards.

Speed of sound help

So I'm working on an assignment and I need to explain how sound travels through different mediums at different speeds. It goes faster through solids because solids are denser and has molecules spaced closer together, I get that. But if the denser the medium the faster the sound, how come it goes fas...

We often get given assignments in college that we work on, on the college library. Obviously we dont get started straight away, there is alway a fair amount of procrastination. I think another rule is that: Non technical people will always assume that as long as a cable fits into a socket with he right adapters it will work, regardless of the source output or input impedance/wattage. This applies to video too. Stuff like pluging an unbalanced XLR to jack from a mic to a gu...

I use an Orange Crush 15R amp, as the name would suggest its 15 watts, with reverb.

Its a nice little amp with decent overdrive.
They also do a 10w and a 30w versions, I hear good things about the 30.

90 of my english pounds it cost I think (actually it was for Christmas last year).
