Re: Giant Robot Super Awesome Games

Like.. Armored Core "I don't care so long as it has giant robots blowing the hell out of one another" style or are you looking for the control of individual limbs? Both of those combined would be the best. :P But mainly I'm just looking for control. Not necessarily individual limbs, but a...

Giant Robot Super Awesome Games

So, I recently found this awesome robot fighting game for the PS2: Robot Alchemic Drive . It is a most rad game, in which you have to control every aspect of the robot, including each arm and leg individually and the torso. Overall, the game is really good, except the camera is from the first person...

Re: Games you can't remember the title of.

Sounds like Streets of Sim City wiki You could jump in the air with the hopper. If a cop saw you speeding it'd say "Smokey's on your tail" or something to that effect. There were also hunters(who only lived to kill you), and couriers(who really just drove around randomly). Your vehicle co...

Re: Games you can't remember the title of.

I have two: * Background: At a friends house on what I am sure was a Windows PC. * Year: Mid- to late-90s I think. Most likely '97 or '98. * Perspective: 3D driving game. I think you could do inside or outside of the car views. * Art style: Nothing fancy or special, I don't think. * Environment: You...

Which motherboard?

So, I'm planning on building a computer and it's going well (other than a slight lack of money :D ). I know more or less what I want, except the motherboard. Originally I was going to go with the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P , which has a combo deal on Newegg with the Antec Three Hundred case, which I also...

Re: "Fiction Rule of Thumb" Discussion

In reply to all the Clockwork Orange citing people, no new words were actually invented in that book. They were just slightly modified versions of already existing Russian (or similar) words.

Yup. Unless you meant the quotes to be sarcastic or something.

Re: QWERTY versus Dvorak

Imagine how much worse it could be if the effort to make typing had been successful! Actually, while I have no real reason to doubt that story about the origins of QWERTY, are there pre-QWERTY keyboards out there? From before they realised that people were mangling their typewriters by typing too f...

If anybody cares, I bought it. I might upgrade it to 2GB of ram. And I'll probably install Linux.

Re: What's it cost?

It's brand new (bought a few days ago). Apparently Wal-Mart had about 30 of them. However, they weren't on display for some odd reason. I don't know about the hard drive but I'll try to figure it out. What's wrong with Celeron processors? Everybody seems to hate them but I've never noticed anything ...

Thank you all for your replies. If anybody cares, I ended up making a global pointer that pointed to a static variable inside the function.
