Re: Pasta Bridge (physics)

I'm in Jade's class and I just googled "pasta bridges" and this was on the first page. *waves to Jade* if i don't call you before you check this, i'd recommend regular pasta. someone tried gluten free pasta and it didn't work ~at all~. Charlie! - thats a good idea, thankyou. I was trying t...

Re: High School bathroom graffiti: intellectualized

Great place for intellectual graffiti is on exam desks. But I didn't write any of it down and I can't remember it now :( (But I did leave an 'xkcd.com' for the future) No one will go here then- xkcd actually looks quite a bit like a porn address. no, people will go there for the wrong reasons. lawl.

Re: High School bathroom graffiti: intellectualized

In the stall of the mens room at the bar near my house someone had written "who are you?" Feeling clever, I left a reply "no one of consequence." I was surprised to find a counter: "I must know." To which I could only leave "get used to disappointment." thats...

Re: What's wrong with highschool dances?

My high school didn't bother with a prom, we just go straight to parties after grad. All of our dances sucked, same stupid music and the same group of people dancing with a bunch of others chilling at the edges. I only went to one. I said, never again. Waste of $7 or whatever it was. heh. so true. ...

Re: What's wrong with highschool dances?

Rather than having high school dances, high schools should have dinners. Formal, catered dinners with live music (maybe) and then a dance afterward. They can play some of many genres. Not just "top 40 rap". That is terrible, terrible music. The last homecoming dance at my school, they pla...

i don't really see HDM as atheist books... they were against the corruption in the church yes, but i would hope that isn't what religion is founded upon... my friend said that for her, they were very spiritual books because of this, which (as an aethist) i found interesting... i must admit i thought...

Re: Make a Rubik's Cube out of paper

Yeah, I don't think the Petrus method can do much better than a minute without preplanning on a regular basis because though it's logically easy to think about it requires a lot of overlap and reworking in practice. (You end up turning the same pieces a lot.) i had thought i was doing alot of re-wo...
