Re: How (much) do you listen to music?

- Roughly half the time that I am at my computer, with iTunes, usually on shuffle. Most music on my computer was ripped from my CD collection. - Every time I drive, with old-fashioned CDs - On the bus to school and back (~15-30 minutes) on my MP3 player. It only holds 512mb, so I switch out what's o...

Re: What **should** you be doing right now?

Reading Battling Demons: Witchcraft, Heresy and Reform in the Late Middle Ages, a book about the life and writings of Johannes Nider. I have to write a paper about it by next Tuesday.

My body is telling me I should sleep, but my jerkhead neighbors keep playing loud music right above my room.

Re: Get your WINTER on!

Winter doesn't hit Texas until at least January, except for the few scattered days when it suddenly drops 40 degrees only to return to normal within 36 hours. My activities don't much change during Winter. It does usually snow at least once a year, but not until February. It's pretty neat when that ...

Re: Back to post yo' face

Similar things have happened to me with my hair, but it was never really very interesting, and then I got it all hacked off. You win this round, Aceo! I don't really have any witty comments to go with these pictures. Here are some pictures! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/Nosefoot/halloweeen0...

Re: Song Lyrics

I'm doing these from memory and/or based on how I hear them. Some inaccuracies may be present. So I waited by the phone, but the phone never rang So I sang so loud that wouldn't hear the bang Then the bang never came, and I never got the call Fuck it, thank you, I love you all! I've got a gun in my ...

Queen

I don't actually own much of their stuff, and what I do have tends to get lost in the mix. But every now and then Who Wants to Live Forever? or Keep Yourself Alive pops up and I remember how incredible they could be.

Re: Pizza Toppings

I tend to consider anything beyond pepperoni sacrilege. That is, unless cheese counts as a topping, but I think that's more necessary to the food being defined as a pizza rather than an optional topping.

Re: What do you play?

I've been playing guitar ( this one ) since late July. I don't practice as much as I should, nor do I practice the things that I should. I've become very distracted by power chords and various combinations of E, C and A minor. I generally sound pretty horrible, but that may be, in some small part, d...

Re: High and low point of your day

High: About halfway through my walk from the mall to campus, which took, not counting my stop in downtown, about 3 hours. Low: Not being able to force myself to be outgoing to enough to get a ride home from a stranger, and needing to call one of my friends to pick me up. Secondary Low: Falling aslee...

Re: What do you wear when you sleep?

I sleep in whatever I was wearing the rest of the day, unless I just took a shower, in which case I wear the clothes I just changed into. No shoes. I've tried, but it feels too clunky. If I get too warm I remove articles in the order socks (which I don't normally wear in the first place) -> pants ->...

Re: Top 5 Influential Albums to Your Current Musical Taste

I am going to fail at keeping this to 5. Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever, Amen This album makes me cry. Any art that can do that is instantly great. And for all it's emotional power, it's still got fun songs on it. It was also one of my first steps away from listening mostly to guitar-driven rock...

Re: Teachers that CAN teach!

Unlike apparently many people, I never really had a great physics teacher. But I did have a pretty good physics teacher who generally clearly communicated the concepts, but people were mean to for no reason whatsoever. People were frequently pointlessly mean to teachers in my schools. A few good tea...

Re: POST HERE FIRST - INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Name's Brian. I'm an RTVF student the U of NT, with no real plans to get a job in radio, television or film. But I don't have plans of any type, really. My current lifetime goal is to become a traveling musician/restaurateur. I expect that to last about a week. I think my first exposure to xkcd was ...
