Lead-acids are currently my enemy as the ones in my gf's wheelchair are 20kg each (I have to put them in the car boot so shopping trips are also a minor trip to the gym) and the internal resistance is massive at the moment due to their age. Some days (especially in winter) you just have to go outsid...

Poka yoke.
I think the lego comparison is flawed. Lego's schtick is to be assembled however you like. Jigsaws, on the other hand. It's just one of those 3d ones and you don't get a picture to work from.

The problem with this kind of game is the lack of varied participation. It's no good if there's only one person in a thread self-incrementing, but there's also no rule on double-posting so it's inevitable.

So I'm starting the third year of a degree soon, and I've got to go from microcontroller programming in assembly (from the previous year's study, for some reason it's on the syllabus), to programming them in C. I'm excited by how abstract this will feel. Does anyone have any good "For dummies&q...

Also, that is a nifty site, it saves the hassle of self-calculation away. I also like the preview of "points to gain" and the variants of game rules.

No, it's seriously a person parasailing. The top of the thing that's landing on the left was still travelling towards the ISS. We've gone past the crazy tests. We have rockets recovering themselves for "routine" supply missions, instead of having to build a whole new one every time. If I h...
