Re: 1762: "Moving Boxes"

We folded up and kept all our moving boxes in the garage. Now I think they are infested by a civilization of silverfish.

Re: 1735: "Fashion Police and Grammar Police"

Drat, I was hoping you were just being silly. So far as it goes, a replacement word isn't really needed. When one uses "literally", it's generally pretty clear from context whether it's meant ... well ... literally or not. For example, I'm pretty sure you don't actually think that anyone ...

Re: 1735: "Fashion Police and Grammar Police"

I would add, peeving about the use of "literally" is extremely fashionable. It's probably the single most complained-about thing in current English usage. Still waiting for an approved replacement word. http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/literally From the link: "not figuratively" ...

Re: 1735: "Fashion Police and Grammar Police"

OK, so grammar nazis are literally Nazis  By the way, I'm an immigrant to the US. I learned to properly speak American English. I agree that English has stupid arbitrary rules, but I learned them and use them to be understood. I didn't introduce some new immigrant dialect. My pet peeve is that...

Re: What-If 0108: "Expensive Shoebox"

Haha, checks. I find it amusing how most Americans have no clue how backwards their banking system is that so many people have to use checks. Here you can't even *get* checks. I mean, what a stupid concept, a non-verifiable piece of paper that the user can write for an arbitrary sum? Can you say &q...

Good luck

The PSU is cheap, but the sound seems to be coming from the area near the hard drives.

It seems to be coming from the hard drive or the mobo around that area (gfx card and RAM are pretty close by too). I really ...

I'm 100% positive that this sound is not coming from the speakers.

Re: Buzzing sound. Please help.

Does the noise correspond to any other activity? No CD's spinning up or loose fans? I'm guessing you would hav...
