Re: The single best computer food

Ginger slices...you'll stop being dizzy from watching the screen too long, it won't smear on anything, and it'll give you a needed kick to stay up. Carrots are good too...keep up your night vision should you enjoy stealth games.

As for drinks: anything caffeinated.

Due to Splinter Cell: You shoot your lightbulbs to turn them off. Also, you wonder how to achieve your goals or wreck havoc with sticky cameras and the OCP (OCP + Treadmills...if you've ever played Chaos Theory in the Displace level you'd understand). Burnout: You think of creating the best possible...

Re: I hate DotA so much

I wonder if my neighbor fits the bill...I do hear him passionately giving commands in Chinese, and laughing menacingly...

Nah.

Can we have a poll for which is best, I think ESB is, I loved the scene where he first meets Yoda You can always watch Clerks to get an informed opinion on this. And yeah, a vote for ESB. Though to be honest, laymen should recognize that the original trilogy is a solid movie series that cemented Ha...

Re: An aversion to sexual pleasure

Heh...you're pretty much in between myself and my Catholic friend in college. While we're more or less uninitiated to sexual relations, he is pretty much anathema to any relationships while I'm open towards them. I can definitely sympathize with your situation...my mind cannot handle one night stand...

Haha, I will derail the thread and beat the temptation!

Re: Holding a handgun sideways

I wonder if a reason people do that is because it feels natural to hold relatively heavy things palm downward, which would have the pistol sideways. Still, we're supposed to have hands that are best off ergonomically with thumb upward, while we still type and use mice otherwise.

Re: Religious Wars

Ah, I was initially confused too...thinking this was an actual religion thread (polytheism vs. monotheism, my God, no God, which prophet to follow, etc.). Then again, considering the passion people have invested in operating systems (Apple, Windows) and the ideologies that follow (proprietary, open-...

Darn! A potential patent opportunity lost! (joking)

I wonder if there's any pictures of them...or if they're affordable so gangsters will have them.

Re: 11x=x^x

1. 11=x(x-1)
0=x(x-1) - 11

Plot on graph? Find the 0 intercept?

If you do logs:

logx 11 = logxx-1 (from 1, and skipping a step where you can switch logarithmic bases)

logx11 = (x-1) (log xx)

logx11 = x-1

Re: Holding a handgun sideways

Man, I thought there was a secret reason. :( Lol, I wish there was a secret reason. If you ignore all of that gangsta culture, it's kinda cool looking. Maybe we're on to something...perhaps major gun manufacturers should put on rudimentary sights on the sides, so at least innocent people will get h...

I either go foreign or historical with my euphemisms. "Bugger", "Oh piss", "pleb"

And "Nuts" still works since Bastogne 1942.

Re: The Gibson Robot Guitar

Yeah, I view this as an interesting curiosity, but not much more. It is good, though, that it has locking tuners for once...I see so many musicians spending so much time between gigs getting it just right, and I'm pretty sure they're not using alternate tunings like Drop-D either. I wish Gibson woul...

4.11.

I don't have nightmares of balancing AP Physics with two others since college is just as bad.
