Fedora 10 preview is out, so that's my test OS, soon to be primary when released.

Looks great so far, lots of advancements, and it's not Ubuntu!

With Apple products you get the feeling that they own it, and you're "renting it."

Especially with what's been going on with the iPhone, and that monster that is iTunes/Quicktime/Safari.

Fedora doesn't get in my way, and that's why I love it.

I just wanted to say... after a week of using OpenSUSE 11, (RC1 upgraded to 11 when private goldmaster was released)...

Holy shit...

I no longer see why anyone would want to use Ubuntu, Fedora, or any other distribution like that... it's just mind blowing how well put together this is.

If you're looking for great hardware, I'd recommend a Thinkpad. You can get them with either Windows or Linux, they're built like rocks, and if you get an X series you can get a 4:3 instead of 16:10 aspect ratio laptop.
