Re: Was Miss California a victim of intolerance?

This story really bothered me. The pro-gay marriage crowd complains about intolerance, but how is this story not an example of reverse intolerance? I see it like this:"No tolerance for intolerance.". Tolerating intolerance would just be counter productive. Exactly. People shouldn't be all...

This really strikes me as a bunch of dirty old men essentially declaring it perfectly fine to strip underage girls.

Another reason why old men should not be in any position of authority.

Re: Atheists and agnostics: When did you become one?

When I was ten, I just figured that the concept of a giant man in the sky, watching me and rendering judgement, was total bullshit. I decided that, since it was bullshit, nobody else would be allowed to have those beliefs in my presence. Being a big kid, I beat the snot out of a lot of smaller kids ...

Actually, what really doesn't make sense, is that the phone companies allow this. After all, somewhere along the line, the bill has to be sent to the phone's service provider. Why not have a default policy of "No bills to a phone number, we wont pay, and nor will our customers"? You're as...

Re: The Pirate Bay trial in Sweden begins

Why do some people think piracy is 100% about money? From what I've seen around, piracy is at least 50% about convenience. As a personal example, I used to buy pirated video games. A lot. Now I don't, and the major factor in that is Steam. Once I was able to get the goods in an efficient way legall...
