Re: Melbourne meet-up?

Depending on whether you're in Melbourne, you might be interested in coming to the Reddit global meetup day on
Saturday, June 25 · 12:00pm - 3:00pm
at Flagstaff Gardens.

If so, I can invite others.

Re: Melbourne meet-up?

Although I doubt I'd see anyone there at such short notice, I'm going to this Reddit meetup on Thursday night edit: twas pretty fun. Apparently these things happen around once every month or two. 50 odd people came, and it was pretty cool, although it was a typical pub atmosphere, so can be hard to ...

Re: Melbourne meet-up?

I was somehow mostly spared sunburn! I've no idea. Here 's a shot of the fountain. You can see a weird spurt of water hitting a child on the chest. You'll have to take our word for the fact that it was emerging from a turtle's mouth. I ended up seeing a comedian Sanderson Jones in the evening. Long ...

Re: what makes a life good?

Hi all, I believe, somewhat similarly to Hedonic Treader, that happiness and suffering are what life is about. If there's one thing we can be sure of, it's that a world in which everyone is fulfilled is better than one where everyone has the worst possible suffering. How to get towards the desired k...

We're going to have a picnic at Carlton Gardens at 12 midday on Saturday the 16th of April! Let's meet at the fountain . After the picnic, we plan to visit the muse...

No, it shouldn't. "...if one of earth's cultures advances its space program enough..." is grammatically correct. You seem to think it read something like, "...if one of earth's cultural advances is to space programs..."

oh, oops.

Re: Strip Games Discussion

I think the alt-text's War Games reference makes the comic, but I also lol'd at the Conway's Game of Life reference. How exactly would that work. Perhaps you could run a simulation with ten odd different colours. Each player would bet a piece of clothing on the survival of a particular colour. Each ...

Re: Melbourne meet-up?

Basically, you need to go for the Spencer street exit of the station, not a Telstra Dome exit. Before you even step onto Spencer street, you should see a large IGA express supermarket. If you want to try it out with google maps, type in spencer street/collins street melbourne.

Sc4, you are a legend! I did this at my high school University High School last year, but only with about 15 comics instead of all of them 5 times over. Utter admiration and respect to you sir, you ought to come to a Melbourne meetup sometime.
