Yeah, i got kubuntu 904 recently (with kde 4) and i am kicking myself for it. my computer is barely new enough to carry the composition + widgets + eyecandy, and mostly it just gets in the way of getting anything done.

Some bands use subliminal messages to kill their fans. Why? we don't know, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

well, i didn't think that taking the heatsink off was necessary, and i didn't feel like mucking around with thermal paste and such. so anyway, took teh fan off, cleaned the blades. I don't own any compressed air and i'm not too sure where to get it. its probably really easy to get anywhere, but anyw...

Cleaning cpu heatsink/fan - suggestions?

My computer wouldn't start this morning, and i think i know why. I could hear a regular flicking noise from inside, i looked in and it turns out it's the cpu fan, which is full of dust. The heatsink looks exactly like and probably is the same model as this one on the interweb just imagine a thickish...

Has anyone mentioned Mew? They're listed in Wikipedia as being Indie Rock, but they're more dreamy - prog rock to me. Plus, the songwriting, the instrumentation and everything else is fantastic, i highly recommend them. The only small issue i have is that the singer's (male) voice is insanely high m...

I've always hated the dubs of anime, or at least, i did, until i watched one of the OVA's of Dragon Ball Z with my friends, and the dubbing was just hilarious. The japanese dubs just don't seem to get the same humour that the english voice actors seemed to see in it.

often tunings are changed for the sake of range. A string instrument can only go as low as it's lowest open string, so you have to tune that down sometimes for the right effect. of course, if you tune it too far down then the strings get all floppy (if you'll excuse my manner of speaking) and they d...
