Re: Forum-Games Awards Shop, Trade Post, And Exchange

Would it be practical to create a fixed amount each week, and divide them between active games in some manner (every person or everyone with an active game gets a vote, or something of the sort)? A fixed amount per game would mainly reward short-lived games, and give more overall control to people w...

It's possible to type some of the characters on windows by holding alt and entering a combination on the numpad. Alternatively, open a JavaScript console and input "\u####", quotes included. For currency symbols, it seems that alt-159, ƒ might also be an okay option, though it has already ...

Well, there's U+00A4 ¤ currency sign, but it's rather generic. Maybe there's some Unicode symbol or shape or whatever that would be recognizable enough to symbolize FGAT.

Uristqwerty, did you always have a pickaxe in your head and I just now noticed it? It's been part of my avatar since I created it (file timestamp says back in April), though it was intended to be more "Pickaxe over my shoulder and behind my head". On a semi-unrelated note, the original is...

Re: Challenge Your Assumptions Level 2 - Canceled

Here is what I had figured out: If you try drawing a map, by some point in the middle of the second page you get all of this information, which is enough to figure out the color scheme (except for 4 floors and 4 roofs, in the rooms below the checkered floors), rotation system, and the fact t...

It depends on what you have currently got. Swim between the flags is much more important than VITSSAGEN, JA! For long term development. I disagree, somewhat. VITSSÅGEN, JA is a prerequisite to Family Discount, and it (indirectly) gives you back far more castles than you spent on it once you have cl...

I don't really care about the save (not much gameplay once everything costs Infinity), and you can replicate the result by unlocking flux turbine, and setting totalCastlesDown to Infinity. Re: 1190: "Time"

I just discovered something about SB: Temporal rift + flux turbine + infinite mustard = castles reset to 0 every mNP. Re: 1190: "Time"

In my experience (playing horribly unoptimally), there is a long stretch before glass ceiling 7, where the greatest castle income is from blast furnace. If you have a high enough fractal level and do not have blitzing, it converts all of your sand directly into castles at a 1:1 ratio, and clicking m...

Re: What-If 0065: "Twitter Timeline Height"

95% is a rather arbitrary number. Although it is a multiple of 5, and it seems fairly probable (19/20), there isn't any reason that 95% is any better in this specific context than 93%, 94%, 96%, or 97%. The issue is, if I understand how the calculation works, each of those probabilities produces a v...

Re: 1185: "Ineffective Sorts"

So, here's an idea for a very slow sorting algorithm. First, we need a function that takes a list and an integer, and returns a permutation of the list. For each possible integer from 0 to factorial(input_list.length) - 1, it should return a unique permutation of the input list (assuming the input l...
