Re: What were your dreams last night?

You're braver than I am, addams. I still think from a human perspective dreams make more sense than reality. The past doesn't go away.

Re: What were your dreams last night?

That's exactly what it was, though not recurring. Perhaps as life becomes more nightmarish it also starts to seem less real.

Re: I need a Game Recommendation

I am a little behind the times but I have almost completed A Link to the Past on the SNES (assuming it doesn't spring some even bigger boss fight on you after defeating Ganon) and I'm looking for another game to fill the empty cartridge slot in my life. Something with exploration and adventure, rath...

Re: What were your dreams last night?

I had a dream a few days ago where I woke up in a strange house with no recollection of who I was. I had been dreaming of being a young man but I was surprised to find myself as an old woman. I had a concerned daughter who seemed to know I had amnesia and was patiently reminding me of who I was and ...

Re: ANGRY NATTERINGS

I cannot physically find a way of using a computer which doesn't make me feel ill within minutes. Right now I am lying in bed backwards with my legs tucked up against the headboard. It far from ideal but this is the first time I have been on the Internet in months. My body only deals in extremes of ...

Re: Bettering vs Bloat?

For comparison the wad file for Doom 1 is 12M, Doom 2 is 14M, Doom 3 (2004) is 1.5GB unpacked. Doom 4 is 47GB. If that trend continues Doom 5 will be about 1TB
Already I can't really appreciate the high resolution textures on my 1600x900 monitor.

Re: Windowsifying my pc

I'd like to be able to install new games as well as a few I have in wine which would benefit from being able to use dx10+. The trouble with the latter is I can't enlarge one partition without shrinking the other first. I hadn't realised that No Man's Sky was only 10GB. I just remembered the nightmar...

Windowsifying my pc

My main computer is a haswell i7 desktop running Gentoo. It's a few years old now but it still serves me well. I use it for gaming and until now I have managed to get by using wine for games without native linux versions. The trouble is I really really want to play No Man's Sky which doesn't run in ...

One day we will all live pampered lives free from care and want as exhibits in Google's zoo. We won't even realise it's happening because every step is so convenient and when you google for "living in a human zoo for the amusement of cybernetic billionaires" nothing will show up.

That's what you're supposed to do with noodles. I usually add some vegetables with ginger, garlic and eggs to make something approaching Pad Thai.

Behemoth, a year or two ago. She's actually quite a small cat but I didn't know how big she'd get when I named her as a kitten. Today she caught a blackbird :(.
That collar was bought, fitted, photographed and then promptly lost forever in a hedge all on the same day.
