Re: Zero Punctuation - (Yahtzee)

Always look forward to watchin his videos, but I really don't put much stock in the reviews since he has bashed a lot of games that I found enjoyable to play.
I do like that fact that he doesn't use a score and the episode where he responded to hatemail was gold.

Bastilla from KotOR who is also the voice of the female commander Shepard in Mass Effect.

On that same note the guy who voiced Kaiden from Mass Effect also voiced a character in KotOR, but the name escapes me.

Zelda, I remember playing OOC when it first came out, that stuff was so epic I had no words for it, and the water temple kicked my ass in thirty different ways before I broke down and looked up the solution somewhere.

Re: What difficulty player are you?

I start on hard normally, then turn it down if it gets too hard, but that doesn't really happen very often. The ones i turn the difficulty down in are usually those which just ramp up the HP and damage of enemies so you just have to spend forever killing them, which aren't really fun, just tedious.

Re: Mass Effect

I've had the PC version since it came out, only had a little trouble with the installation but that wasn't related to the copy protection. Other than that it has been totally hassle free, I didn't even notice the authentication and I can't detect any drops in performance on my rig.

That was quite fun I thought, until I made one mistake and kept getting blinded by the ninjas with headbands.

I did epee for a couple of years, was a whole load of fun, but I stopped because I couldn't find the time to keep doing it. Last time I fenced was with my class in gym class, it was pretty great since I was the only one with prior experience and got to whoop everyone.

KotOR 2 had its issues but there's a mod in the works though that should cover some of the major ones. It's currently in late stages of beta over at http://www.team-gizka.org.

Re: Help A Deprived Gamer? [To find games they will like]

KotOR 1 and 2, although 1 is better than 2 in my opinion they're both still great RPG's

If you're into RTS's at all you should try sins of a solar empire.

Psychonauts is also nice, sorta platformer/adventure type game I think it's even available on steam.

Hmm, and Jade empire too, another good RPG.

Re: Help me!

If you haven't played any of those games I'd go for the first option, although CoD 4 is awesome and if you're into multiplayer it might last you a long time. Vegas has multiplayer too, but it just isn't as good as CoD 4.

Depends for me too, mostly I listen to classical music while studying, but whenever I have to do math I switch to rock of some sort. Usually Rammstein does the trick, makes me calculate stuff much faster than I otherwise can for some reason.

Yeah it is quite heavy, and the front door is a little fragile, but really it's not that bad and I don't see it breaking any time soon if I treat it right. Another nice thing is that it is quite big which was nice because it was the first case I have used to build my own rig and the extra space real...

I totally read the title as something relating to sharks with laser-rays.

Anyway, I don't know nearly enough about marine biology to understand any of the consequenses of this, that said I kinda like sharks and rays (but not sharks with rays) and it'll be a sad day if they disappear.

I find that on the hardest difficulty you can die rather easily if you don't pay attention, since most enemies does a pretty large amount of damage with every hit. I try not abusing the hell out of the weapon styles since they seem to make the fights a little too easy sometimes.

Yeah Storm Dragon is pretty broken, though plenty of enemies seem to be immune. I thought the combat system was fine, at least you don't have to wildly spam the mousebutton to make things happen, which I personally hate.
