Steam Games - Survey

I'm doing a survey for an econometrics class, so any replies would be great. If this is in the wrong forums, please feel to move it. I'm looking for any xkcd'ers that use Steam frequently as a digital platform for purchasing and playing games. It's a short 6 question survey, but you'll need to refer...

Re: League of Legends

From level 1-30 would take approximately 270 games, with the average game for me lasting approximately 28 minutes (so about 126 hours or aka 5 days of play time.) Really not bad at all. Just long enough that there's some sense of progression until you hit 30, in which the only progression you feel i...

Re: GO....

So yeah, another try at the XKCD room.

It'll be under Rooms > New Rooms > XKCD

I'll try to stay logged on to KGS for a day straight, so people have a chance to drop by. With enough people, an admin can perm the room ^^

Re: GO....

Another attempt at an XKCD room. I'm in it currently, but I have some errands to attend to and I will probably be visiting the NYC Go Center later. So I'll probably get idle-kicked out of KGS. I'll be in there all of the night and early morning (EST), though. Ah and as for getting started: What is G...

Re: Easy DDR-related puzzle

This should follow the Poisson distribution, which means that the answer is... n k e -n /k! where k is the number of mistakes (0 here) and n is the expected frequency (1 mistake per song) This makes the answer for exactly 0 mistakes 1/e. This is also the answer for exactly 1 mistake...

Re: Easy DDR-related puzzle

If you average 1 mistake per song, what is the probability that you will complete the song without making any mistakes? (Assume the song is very long, and mistakes are equally likely on every step.) From the information given, the probability of completing a song without making any mistakes is inde...
