Re: 1376: "Jump"

I almost never remember dreams, but I know I've had this one many times, and it's one of the more vivid ones I can recall. I always attributed it to skiing. The gliding in dreams always felt like one of my speed runs on skis. Close to the ground, but sliding over it, and occasionally giving a little...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I think you guys are determined to believe something bad is going to happen. All i've seen so far is two characters enjoying a (i presume) beach. Laying in the sun, shaking sand out of your hair, going to the water, all of these are normal things to do. I think people are reading way too into things...

Re: 1190: "Time"

The algorithm talk is ancient. Some joke about strange google searches turning up XKCD...or something. So I just haven't scrolled down the main page in a really long time. Thanks. I happened to notice it today, and wasn't sure if it was poking fun at everyone trying to break whatever code he's usin...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I've seen mention of the BTC string, but not what is below it. Is that new or have i just not looked that far down the page in a long time? BTC 14FHqYSgAi39CEJksUJJsK8JzJzyqFpLVk We did not invent the algorithm. The algorithm consistently finds Jesus. The algorithm killed Jeeves. The algorithm is ba...

The Road Trip

I'm a firm believer in the road trip. I don't care if it's planned or spontaneous, there is something therapeutic about road trips for me. I'm in the early planning stage for one i've wanted to do forever, the cross country trip, with my own twist. But I wanted to share one that happened at the begi...

Re: 1105: "License Plate"

It's a very old trick to get plates like that. I've seen combinations of M and N, 8 and B, I and 1, and a few others. Most states won't approve plates like that anymore because they know exactly what you're trying to do. Other states just don't let you mix letters and numbers (I'm looking at you MA)...

Re: What were your dreams last night?

I was having some random dream, the beginnings don't matter. But it went from boring story line to terrifying very quickly. I was looking into the garage with someone else. And out of nowhere i caught something out of the corner of my eye. And i suddenly recalled a theme i'm convinced has riddled my...

Re: Do you Dream?

I'm still getting more vivid dreams. I can influence them slightly, and a few times i've purposely woken up to escape from a dream. Last night was the first time i've ever woken up violently however. Not on purpose, what happened was so violent it pumped so much adrenaline through me i woke up yelli...

Do you Dream?

Slight spin off of the dream thread. I've spent the great majority of my life either not dreaming, or just having zero recollection of them when waking up. And by that i mean i remembered nothing. I would fall asleep, and as far as i was concerned immediately wake up ~8hours later. The only dream i ...

Re: What were your dreams last night?

Last night my subconscious finally caught up to where my conscious mind is. I've been fighting to get over a 7 year relationship i ended in january, and last night i finally had the first dream where i was moving on. unbelievably good feeling. The details of the dream are unimportant, and hazy at be...

Re: Changing Olympic events

Karting works like rowing and sailing, everyone gets the same kart, may the most skilled driver win. Even in the Olympics where all the boats are "one-design" classes, this is not quite the case. In one of the classes (470 I think) the teams are free to pretty much do what they like with ...

Re: Being an Effective Team Leader

Seriously go for it. Leadership experience is never a bad thing and can only ever help. I bet you find that you'll fall into the role fairly well. I've always been more of a sidelines type personality, but i've forced myself into some leadership roles and it's been the best thing i could ever have d...

Re: Changing Olympic events

I want some sort of motorsport. The two that make the most sense are karting and Race of Champions. Karting works like rowing and sailing, everyone gets the same kart, may the most skilled driver win. race of champions already happens, and seeks to find the best all around driver out there. Why not ...

Re: 1093: "Forget"

this has been the week of making me feel old, and i'm not even that old.

this past weekend i went to see a band that was playing their first show since breaking up when i was in high school. It dawned on me that the last time i had seen them facebook didn't exist.
