Re: I'd like to know the name of this book/short story/comic

At the book shop, about 4-5 years ago I picked up a science fiction/fantasy novel I can't remember the name of. I believe it had something about engineering in the title, perhaps alluding to steam punk, but I'm not sure. It starts out with a presentation of a character I presume to be the main char...

ah ha! I managed to get a Darkrai! Woolworths was doing an event last weekend. *is jealous* They never come here. Pokemon Blue was the first game I ever owned and played for any decent amount of time (not just in the series, first game ever ), so none of the games since have had the same effect on ...

I would've hoped that everyone got the general idea, although some may think that if the baby is too ugly or not the right sex, they can just push it back in and get a do-over. I don't really have a favorite album but it's definitely between 10,000 Days, Aenima or Lateralus. Opiate was good but a bit rough and Undertow doesn't really do anything for me.

My favorite songs are probably Schism, Vicarious and Hooker With A Penis.

Sex ed for me was pretty strange. I remember them covering how your voice changes, the video of the woman giving birth (which we had to watch twice) and the guy in front of me fainting. Everything else was covered by the little book my parents bought me. I remember the time when our Sex Ed teacher,...

Bungee fencing. Each fencer is attached to their end of the piste by a bungee cord so they have to fight against that as well their opponent. It could make for some fairly interesting escapes.

Ten years ago it took about six or seven five year olds to bring me down, three or four on my legs and then the rest started kicking me as soon as I fell over (I hate children). Since then I've grown a fair bit so I'm hoping it'd be at least twice my previous record.

I have to say that a lot of the imagery/commentary in this book annoyed me because it seemed to rely on the one line phrases stuck in between paragraphs. This technique annoys me in general because it seems to be used more for the sake of the image itself rather than the overall effect on the story....
