Re: Drinking, for the first time

I was in a similar position and just drank for my first time on Friday. My suggestion is to just go for it, it was a lot of fun. For me hard liquor wasn't a problem, my friends cut me off after around 12 shots

Re: How hard is IB

I'm going into senior year IB and it's not as hard as it's made out to be. I usually do around 5-10 minutes of homework a night and often can get by with doing absolutely nothing. I have some friends who do spend ridiculous amounts of time on homework but the secret is learning to study and work sma...

i think your metabolism would decrease because your body naturally begins storing more fat in the winter/colder weather

Teacher: "What are you doing with that (pen)"
Me: "Blowing on it's tip so stuff comes flying out the end"
Teacher: laughing, "Oh....and how does that pertain to the Odyssey"
Me: Well: "Well blowing this represents my quest"

Re: Shakleton is getting in shape and he needs YOUR help!

exercise is the most important thing in whatever form. It burns calories and builds muscle. The muscle that you build will burn additional calories. Eating healthy is, of course, also very important. two years ago i did exactly what you are trying to do now by joining my schools cross-country team

Re: Am I running right?

I stand by the fact you should stretch after doing an 800 warm up, but i didn't mention that the stretching should be dynamic (leg swings and such) as opposed to static

Re: Am I running right?

do a 1/2 mile to a mile warm up (really easy jog) before you start running and i'd reccomend stretching after doing this warm up. Try running the whole 2 miles at the same steady pace faster then what youve been starting out and slower then what youve been finishing with, kicking only at the very end

Re: Least Recognisable Acronym

Well, there's a much-forwarded email claiming that it stands for "Fornication Under Consent of King," and I've heard many apocryphal tales about the First Unitarian Church of [insert any of a number of cities starting with "K"]--don't suppose either of those is what you're going...

Re: What were your dreams last night?

I had a dream that America was getting attacked by British missiles and we were being destroyed because we had no anti-missile defense. I the proceeded to canoe to Britain and visit my 8 year old cousin ( who doesn't actually live in Britain) and visited his house. At his house i found a missile lau...
