Dragon Age Origins and related DLC thread

Didn't want tor evive the 2-3 year old one. Please re-read the xkcd forum rules thread. Specifically Rule 4. - ST We shan't discuss the travesty that was Dragon Age 2. Unless somebody mentions it, like I just did. SPOILERS ABOUND Here's my playthroughs: First one as male elven mage, no role playing,...

Re: Alleged invisibility cloak

Why must invisibility technology always be in Harry Potter cloak form? I'd be much more interested in a stealth field generator, ala Star Wars.

Re: What bug is this?

I've lived in Australia (suburban Melbourne) my whole life and never discovered these :? .
I was at a Maccas in a rural area and there were a ton of them, but they were much larger than the ones at home.

Re: What bug is this?

it's probably another beetle in the same genus, or family anyway.

That makes a lot of sense. Wiki says they come to bright windows at night in large numbers. A few of them did look exactly like June beetles, but I haven't found any sources saying you can find them in Australia.

Re: What bug is this?

Don't think so. The markings are not as prominent; it looks more like a cockroach. It's about 15mm across, and in the shape of a beetle. The camera doesn't catch it so well, but it's not orange, but a walnut colour.

Melbourne, Australia.
An update: In addition to the bugs like these, there are some that look like June bugs.

I managed to find a dead specimen (in my house...). Could be the recent plethora of chicken poo next to this partic...

The Marble Hornets Thread

I think we might need a "Web series" or "ARG" subforum. Image spoiler'd for creepy. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?mode=attach&id=25499 So guys. Entry 65. My thoughts: It's very likely that the dark world where Tim and Beardy's body were taken to is ...

Re: Slender

Trick is to hit the bathroom first (just go straight ahead when you start), then go right and get the note off the oil barrels, straight ahead to the rocks, then the cross wall thing, the tunnel, and then pretty much whatever order you want. Problem is, this works great in theory, but I always end u...

Slender

Against my better judgement, I downloaded and played this at 3AM, and now am unhealthily obsessed by it. This game honestly terrifies me, even after hearing the hype about how scary it is. Notes were collected. Computer tables kicked. Pants pooped.

Re: KOTOR 2

Most recently, I played a Sith Marauder with the restriction of no offensive powers (apart from Force Crush, which is overpowered, but that was gained automatically and not very useful anyway). Everything is a one shot kill with high critical range lightsabers, master flurry and master speed. And ha...

Re: KOTOR 2

A new restored content mod? But I just decided to stop replaying KOTOR 2 and start a new game! :(
So do you usually play Consulars, Sentinels or Guardians? Jedi Master/Sith Lord, Sith Marauder/Jedi Weapons Master or Sith Assassin/Jedi Watchman?

I actually read the alt text and thought "Wait, that's Charlotte's Web? I thought that was a kid's book."
But a novel about a sinister spider setting out to slaughter a sow sounds sensational.

I prefer limit breaks for Sephiroth, but then I got bored and just cast Knights of the Round. Dead in one shot  .
Of course, it also makes Battle Square ridiculously easy when you just use Omnislash and mime it, all the way through...

What game(s) are you (re)playing right now? (moved from Gen)

Been replaying Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords a lot recently. Damn, I forgot how fun this game is. Playing a Dark Side/Neutral female Jedi Guardian. Also, I'm not using any offensive force powers, just buffs, which is making things..difficult. On another note, I finally got around to fi...
