What purpose does the marriage license requirement serve these days? It seems counter-intuitive that there would be a legal requirement to acquire a license that legally can't be denied.

I have a bachelor's degree in History, I've studied Architecture, and I've tried Industrial Technology (Engineering-lite). Now I'm getting my bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (and since my gen eds transfer over from the old History degree, I'm getting a minor in Poli Sci to fill in the slow seme...

The 1st moon landing...43 years ago today.

Today is the 43rd anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon. It took 8 years, including the fly-by missions to find a suitable landing place, to get there in 1969. I think we should go back, if for no other reason than to mark the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Any thoughts?
