Re: iPad discussion

Does anyone know if the iPad would be able to run something like Photoshop? I'm not really sure if it is more like a giant iPod or a tablet Macbook? Also, going on a tangent, would it be possible to get some kind of waterproof case that allows the touch screen to be used? I'm thinking iPad + Hot tub...

I've now got myself a Rock Band drumkit as well as the GHWT one as Rock Band 1 doesn't see the GH kit. :) Also graduated to playing drums on hard.... Real drum playing is getting closer... Re: Guitar Hero

Yeah, I'm really getting hooked on the idea of playing real drums now, but I would have no idea what to do. Having the game there to tell me really helps.
I do worry that if I ever did get real drums and join a band, I'd need to take my PS3 along to every gig :D

Professor Leyton and the curious village is a pretty nice DS game.

the puzzles are all easy, it's aimed at kids after all, but somehow it's quite compelling.

you could let him put the pact boon on an insect which then flys or crawls away before he can kill it. anytime you feel like it later you can announce that the insect just got eaten by a frog and fling him into a wall/off a cliff etc.

most of the UGC seems a bit rubbish but I like the concept of the game. Check my hearted levels. I'm really quite picky :) The review league on the Workshop has been good for finding quality levels. Re: xkcd The Truely Open Game - is this awesome y/n?

I'd say the problem is the meeting of "truely open" and "story". you can't possibly expect to write enough story to cater for a truly open environment (Unless you believe in Intelligent Design, in which case your expectations are insane) For a truly open game which generates the ...

Yes thats how it works. The lockers are containers which you can magically fit everything into. If that was the case then the game would bug out when you'd try to access your stuff, or maybe just enter your house. Did you mess with stuff in the town at all? The outside town? As in, get crap and dum...

The voice commands need to work well because its a bit of a dog to issue commands by hand.

Just get a console. You'll never have to worry about compatibility or specs again, and it'll be much cheaper than going for a gaming level PC. Unless you're really that dedicated to keyboard + mouse. Keyboard + mouse are the only way I'll play any FPS type game. I don't see that changing anytime so...
