Re: "Road Rage" Discussion

Ugh, I HATE tailgaters. I'm only just learning how to drive, and having people directly behind me like that makes me nervous. I realize I may be going a little below the speed limit, but I'm still learning and it's very likely I'll have to hit the brakes fast. Besides, sometimes people tailgate me w...

Re: Teachers that cannot teach

Anyways, when she saw that I wrote down "Atheist", she began a full rant. "WHAT?! HOW CAN YOU BE AN ATHEIST? I feel so SORRY for you. Your life is MEANINGLESS. I can't even believe that! I can't believe it!". If she had replaced "atheist" with "Hindu" or &quo...

Re: high energy music

I'll add Disturbed! It's *usually* classified as new metal, not power metal, but it's awesome for sheer power and energy. And loudness, if that's something keeps you motivated.

I like this thread. I also like power metal, so I might be back.

Re: "Ouch" moments in school

So I got the best grades in the school by not studying, not doing any homework, and only listening when we read the book as a class.

I wish I had 'ouch' moments like yours.

Re: Books that made you cry

Hmmm . . . . I haven't cried at the end of a book for ages, not since I was young . . . There are, of course, books that leave me feeling depressed, for hours and hours after I read them . . . First: Harry Potter 7. Just. . . . yeah. What a bloodbath . . . I asked for 3 characters NOT TO DIE. I want...

Re: High School bathroom graffiti: intellectualized

Wow . . . I never write on walls/desks. I just really hate vandalism, so . . . But I really like some of these ideas. Like the Ozymandias one . . . I should re-memorize that poem, it's one of my favorites. I'd have responded . . . Maybe I'll write that on a desk one day. It'd be nice to be able to h...

Re: Cursive

Lying bitch. Yeah, my 4th grade teachers told us that going into middle school (5th at my school), we would be forced to use cursive all the time, and if we didn't we would get detention. It took me a YEAR to get out of the habit of writing my name in cursive, because guess what? My fifth grade tea...

Re: Awesome Teacher Quotes

My chemistry teacher . . . just wow. He's said numerous time he doesn't have any morals or ethics, so his class is . . . interesting. He has a lot of 'catchphrases' and was actually talking the other day about how once, a student made a booklet of his quotes. His favorites: "Shut up and sit dow...

Re: "Ouch" moments in school

Wow . . . so I learned my lesson about doing homework . . . The moment? We got our practice Regents exams that we had taken in Chemistry back. I got a 91%. My teacher was very impressed. The ouch? I've been border-line passing all year because I'm so bad at turning in labs. So I'm pretty good at Che...

Re: Avoiding the Librarian's attention

However: Be aware that many school library computers have programs installed that allow the librarian to view any screen from a remote computer. Oh how I CURSE those remote computers! In one of the computer labs in my school, the teacher can actually control the screen, and was having fun really fr...

Re: "Journal 4" Discussion

Seriously, Dr. McNinja just punched Dracula in the face, and now he's hiding in a hall of mirrors in his moon base. And Faye has a concussion after a raccoon jumped out of the vent and scared her off of the ladder. Thanks again for making me realize that I get over-excited when I find people who re...

Re: "Ouch" moments in school

Well, there was this one (very amusing) time. We had a quiz in Home Ec., and it obviously was supposed to be an easy 100%. 10 points, 3 questions. The 1st question is worth 8 points, and it is "What is emancipation?" (Becoming your own individual free from your parents, incidentally.) We'd...

Programming factorials in Python

Alright . . . I'm new to both Python and these forums, so I'm sorry if I sound like I have no idea what I'm doing . . . actually, it's getting late, so I might sound like that anyway. My question is on how to program factorials in Python, like 6!. More specifically, how to do combinations, like 6_C_...
