Re: 1002: "Game AIs"

Man, it has been years since I've even thought about Mao, let alone played it. That was one of the most malicious card games we played in high school, second only to Egyptian Rat Screw. (Most of the time, we were hooked on Bridge, Euchre, and Spades... but even nerds need a break now and then.) Now ...

Geez, the way some of you are taking offense to this comic, it's like you never watched a Bugs Bunny cartoon in your life. Please tell me you're not shuddering every time Yosemite Sam mistakes a dynamite stick for a cigar because people have actually suffered injury or death from explosions. Persona...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I gues I'd better find me some hot redheaded women to try and stop that, huh? ;) :D

I think this would be a great time to invest in red hair dye. That stuff might be gold before you know it. ;)

Fiction, by definition, is not based on reality, folks. Well, not really. Fiction (by definition) is not necessarily based on reality. Numerous works of fiction incorporate real people, places, times, and other elements. Really, otherwise, the genre of "historical fiction" couldn't exist ...

As long as you have a compass, you could always make one ring to rule them all.

I laughed out loud at "Billy Joel Arrested for Arson." But shouldn't we be looking for his accomplice(s)? Technically, they didn't start it either. I read the integration one once and didn't get it... then I finally saw the symbol and it became my favorite of all XKCD moments. And while t...

It's not engineers thinking people can't read fast. It's not engineers thinking they came up with something efficient without taking real human thought processes into consideration. It's engineers realizing that hey, sometimes you're not the only car on the road, and other cars might block the firs...

You're one of these people who doesn't "get" art, aren't you? Here's a take-home for you: interpretation is everything in art . Yeah, technique, consistency, relevance all play a part; but unless there's an interpretation -- beginning with the artist's statement -- you don't have art , yo...

I could totally see "making a sandwich" as a metaphor/euphemism for a threesome. I'm sure I've had conversations very, very similar to this one in the past, including being based on a far stretch of an innuendo.

I think the 60 fps thing makes sense to me. I've been to my boyfriend's parents house where they have some ultra-super-expensive HDTV, and when it gets to certain commercials or programs, the quality of the video just starts looking too fluid - almost like a home video. It's great for sports and mak...

I used to play 24 with the time when I couldn't sleep. It was very frustrating to lie there at 11:17 just to wait for 11:18 so it would work. :P

I don't think I've ever been good enough at factorization to be able to do that in time, though.

I had to create an account when I saw this comic. XP

Since 7th grade, I have never been able to walk on my own set of lines. When I read 4, it made me so happy that I'm not the only person who walks awkwardly like that.

Thank you for making a dork feel at home. :D
