Re: Today I Made:

Today I made apple pie according to a recipe that I got off TV. Turned out better than I thought it would as well, never mind the fact that it was cooked in a quiche tin.

How big are those doors?
400000/(sqrt(2*10*2000))
= 2000m^2
which means that those doors are about 44.7m by 44.7m

To quote myself from a particularly interesting Study of Religion class.

Re: 0949: "File Transfer"

Sometimes the USB key doesn't work. Last week I was in a teacher's office and he wanted to give me a 17MB Google Sketchup file. I handed him a 8GB USB key formatted NTFS, and his Mac wouldn't read the USB key. I had just moved the contents of the USB key onto my laptop seconds earlier. Try formatti...

Re: 0949: "File Transfer"

ssh (with public keys) + nautilus = super easy file transfers without the use of passwords and the added benefit of remote access to a shell.

*EDIT*
Forgot to add Avahi to that list, hostnames are much easier to use than IPs when they are short.

How long do you think that G+ will stay in beta for? Gmail had a fairly good run. Regarding the comic; Has BHG got special crossbow training or something? Being able to shoot a basketball, midair, using a crossbow, without looking, scares me a little. Especially when I know what else he is capable o...

I change the hostnames on my computers whenever I feel like it (I've only got two). My desktop is currently called blackbox because it is both black and boxy. The laptop how ever is called phreak.

The Lab by Jack Heath. Recommended by a friend, but said friend also told me to avoid the rest of the series. Got about half way through it and lost interest, it just seemed to be action scene after action scene with little in between to hold up the plot.

Hey everyone, this is my little contribution to the thread.

This is basically how most of my writing has been for the last year or more.
One thing that I've found is that my x's are written the same as the variable x
