Is there any way to go back? And if not, do you think it'll loop? And if not, then will this be like an ice sculpture or something where you can only appreciate it once?* Cause if so, that's a pretty ballsy idea. *Apart from the archives in here. Apparently I made an account 4 years ago and posted a whole bunch and then suffered amnesia about the whole experience. Anyway: I made this into a wallpaper ! Mostly by turning it sideways. Re: Beginning Dungeons & Dragons

So, we had our first game today. We ended up meeting at a friend's house after he'd gotten rid of his sister, parents and dog. We played through a premade adventure called The Burning Plague from the D&D site. It went fairly well, but the DM left half way through and I had to take over. Other th...

Re: Beginning Dungeons & Dragons

Hey guys, me again and whoathethreadgotmergedwhoops. We've sort of got some problems. Well, two related problems. First problem: We now have 7 people playing (including the DM) which seems like a lot for one party, so we thought we'd maybe run two games, but then someone else will have to DM as well...

Butbutbut... we don't have a 'local gaming club'... You're so lucky. We just have a choice of garage or loft. We've postponed it to next weekend (which is a long weekend in Western Australia for Labour day) because we've picked up two (or maybe 3) extra players (for a total of 5-6 + a Dungeon Master...

If he's in 3.5, wouldn't you actually want something that can heal? I'm not that good at playing, which is probably WHY I'm so keen on having a healer, but it's very, very handy. Yes, we are playing 3.5 edition (whatever that means), mostly because it's core books just happened to be those we obtai...

I'm surprised nobody's postulated the 'Snow Crash' theory yet. If you haven't read Snow Crash (by Neal Stephenson, damn good book), basically what happens is the US sells off all their land to multinational corporations, and the corporations end up with more money, power and land than the government...

A no carb diet is extremely stupid. Your body gets a very large part of its energy from glucose. Your brain and red blood cells get 100% of their energy from glucose. Glucose comes from sugars, which are carbs. If you're not eating carbs, you have to synthesise glucose from other starting materials...
