Re: HOLY BAM!!! SCOTUS overturns campaign finance

I'm not from the USA, but if I've understood this right it then seems like a lot of people here are missing the main problem with campaign finance. It's not that corporations can donate infinity amount of money to a candidate/party, but that anyone can. After all, if you banned corporations from bei...

There's the ratio, there's the utter lack of resemblance to pre-election polling, there's the violent and repressive response to people protesting what the government claims has been a legitimate election, there's the Supreme Leader saying who won the election before it goes through the Guardian Co...

I'll be honest - I'd like someone who has maths powers to check this for me. But this comment at least claims to explain the 2:1 phenomenon.

Edit: Also, not specifically about Iran here, but why do so many countries that rig elections rig them so damn obviously?

Iran doesn't allow international electoral monitors in, as far as I know.

To anyone claiming the election was rigged, where's your evidence? All I've heard is Mousavi and his supporters' claims.

The average difference between a value and the mean. So a low number means that average distance is low, so the values are clustered around the mean. And a high number means that average distance is high, so they're generally some way from the mean.

The BBC doesn't advertise anything of any kind. It doesn't take commissions, or make anything at all for money. The only thing it does is screen television programmes that fulfill its remit. So if it broadcast this, it would be making it an editorial position. the bbc shows adverts between programm...
