Re: "One-Sided" Discussion

The story of my life. Also, having a common name doesn't help much in public. As of late, I tend to have more problems when I'm actually the one on the phone, not having realized that the call was dropped five minutes ago. Usually no one knows that I'm just talking to myself, but I still feel like a...

Re: Unhealthy weight and the necessary motivation to lose it.

Do you have a friend or family member who you can count on to help keep you motivated? Someone who won't let you quit and who will maybe be a workout/meal buddy to help you out? It's really hard if you always have to be kicking your own butt, and it's much more likely that you will slip. We're tryin...

Re: MJ's Fat-assery

Sounds awesome! We're all cheering you on, MJ! *shakes pom poms*

Just thought I'd mention that I've heard that exercising (cardio) for more than 45 minutes at a time doesn't really give much added benefit, which amount of time serves as a really good (and attainable) goal.

Re: "Fetishes" discussion

Comics like this make my bachelor's degree weep. I assume you're implying that you didn't "get it" before reading this discussion? In that case: mine too (though I'm not quite finished yet). It makes me sad to think how much I still don't know and how many more years of schooling I'm goin...

Re: MJ's Fat-assery

Yay MJ! So glad to read that you're finally making progress! I've only just read the thread, and I was going to make suggestions along the lines of doing small things (morning exercise and drink a glass of water right away) to boost your metabolism, but it seems like you're getting the hang of it no...

Re: Unhealthy weight and the necessary motivation to lose it.

Yay Moo! This may or may not be useful to you, but you're trying to revamp your mindset, right? I know it sounds corny, but remember the power of positive thinking. I personally hate going to the gym, working out, and sweating. Whenever I go to the gym, I try to think "man, this was so much fun...

Re: Song Identification!

I cannot remember the name/performer of a song, and it's driving me crazy! I haven't even heard the song in ages (read: weeks), but I can't even remember the words. It's sung by a woman. The general idea is "I'm not that nice" or "I'm not that sweet" or something similar (NOT I'm...

Re: Coming out

Hello. This post may or may not be well received. I'm gonna go for it anyways. I myself am hetosexual, but I have a few friends who have come out to me in the past few years. I've only known them since we started college together, but our friendships intensified very quickly, to the extent that I ca...

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

hello, I'm Jen

I'm a 21-year-old college student in New England. I'm about to go back in a week, so I probably won't have much time to be posting, but I'm bored now and I love the comics and the fora seem pretty interesting.

I hope to be interacting with you shortly.
