Re: 0836: "Sickness"

I thought it was talking about homeopathy.

Re: Just a thought....

At that resolution, honestly, color would not exist. Pigments and all.

Re: "Retro Virus" Discussion

Hmm. Such an idea would be akin to anti-crime, as espoused by Pratchett. Something similar to breaking-and-decorating and whitemailing(threatening to expose donations to charity). Edit addition: Can you get Kazaa for Linux? I mean, the mocking people could be familiar with it or have switched from X...

Re: Screw cash for grades, how about grades for cash?

I remember every single teacher in my middle school pretending to start such a thing every year to teach us about the abuses of the Church in the 1500's, viz., indulgences.

Re: "Climbing" discussion

This is probably one of the best examples of the limitless potential that the medium has.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

I believe that the MIC revised this directive for 3.5 to say that wrong-slot items cost the same.

Re: Hypothesis: STERORTYPES AND HOW THEY FIT THE SOCIETY WELL

You've noticed. Stereotypes are all based on perception. This is why marketing was and remains the greatest progenitor of stereotypes today. There are self-described jocks in my multivariate calculus class, and they are decent people.

(I'm in secondary school, by the way.)

Re: Today I Learned

I learned that the middle traffic light appears orange to other people besides me, but for some reason, everyone refers to it as yellow. My mom says red, yellow, and blue light. She claims its what they say in Korea, but that doesn't seem too make sense since the traffic lights are green in Korea t...

Re: Dungeon Mastering: Dungeoneering

One of my favorite things of this sort was a great big boulder, a la Indiana Jones, but made of gold with little holes in it for air and seeing(specifically too small for targeting), and a hatch on top. In the way of them getting back out was a horde of rust monsters, and there was some horde scarab...

Re: D&D - Non-standard party dynamics

As a DM for some years, I've had to endure this pretty much all the time from my ridiculous-turnover games. The trick to handling these is to tailor encounters for the party, but not too much. It breaks suspension of disbelief if there's never any magic against a no-magic-counters(e.g. no mages, no ...

Can I call an unofficial forum rule? Your first post should never be starting a new thread and never, ever, under any circumstances be starting a new thread that could be taken as an advertisement. We have an intro thread for first posts, and a "cool games on the Interweb" thread for cool...

Minebot Arena

Look at my post count. Then exonerate me for not posting any links. To be found in Zauron's Lair(the site is actually named that) is one of the more addicting games composed of pure spaz upon those Intarwebs. There is significant strategy and a high-scoreboard. Not a high scoreboard. That would be w...
