Re: "xkcd.com/unixkcd" Discussion

True, but if you're gonna keep the page running, at least keep it updated. It's still stuck at 775, and I haven't really missed it.

Re: "xkcd.com/unixkcd" Discussion

Unixkcd didn't load today. I'm fed up with xkcd. I used to be a huge fan, waiting and reloading at midnight for every new comic (I even got a shirt, a poster, and some stickers), but now it's just awful. Unixkcd was the best thing to happen to xkcd in a really long time, and it, xkcdsucks , and xkcd...

biblequizzingwebsite.com

Is there any reason why http://www.biblequizzingwebsite.com/ is an exact replica of xkcd? One of xkcd sucks' recent posts (http://xkcdsucks.blogspot.com/2010/03/comic-709-i-am-shitty-comic.html) linked to it, and it's really eerie how it's exactly the same as xkcd!

And while you're at it, tell Benjamin Franklin to never, NEVER tell ANYONE about Daylight Savings Time. I agree completely. The more I see about Benjamin Franklin, the more I'm convinced he was crazy. Did you know that when he first introduced DST, he wanted to make sure everyone got up by firing c...

My first thought when I saw the title was that it was going to be a Back to the Future reference.

I SO agree with this comic.

And I always thought of Madagascar and New Zealand being similar, but I guess Japan and New Zealand look more alike.

Re: "Scantron" Discussion

For the academic decathlon competition, they handed us these special pencils that allowed you to fill in the scantron boxes in one stroke. We got to keep the penctils and brought them to our AP exams, thinking we'd be able to own the multiple choice. until we realized that the scantrons for the AP ...

Re: "Fiction Rule of Thumb" Discussion

Hmm. I'm not sure if I quite agree with this one. I've read a lot of good books that had quite a few made-up words. But yeah, I guess, if there are too many made-up words, it makes it harder to read, and therefore less interesting. But it's better than boring vocabulary. And I'm surprised no one's ...

Hmm, I prefer Staples to Office Depot.

Isn't this guy the same character that stapled his hat to his head so he could hang upside-down in a tree? That would be Harrison Ford, thats why his hat never fell off in the Indiana Jones movies I meant this guy: http://xkcd.com/291/ Oh, but Indiana Jones' hat did fall off! That famous first scen...
