Re: Games you can't remember the title of.

* Background: I played it on the PC. Everything took place in the "sky." I think you drove around it a hover car. There where long pathways with places you could drive off onto lower paths, and city like areas where I would promptly get killed. I don't really remember what did the killing...

Re: Supreme Commander 2

They took the eco out. The bit that made TA/SC/SCFA was the continual eco, and the way you had to manage it. This is gone, so the game is gone. I played SCFA to death, I must have at least 4000 games played. This just isn't the same. The scale is gone, the huge battles are gone, the eco is gone and ...

Guys / Girls psshhh, no. Guys and Dolls. You guys don't see enough musicals. Would you prefer Doll? Dollface? I hear those are pretty widely accepted. More seriously, this whole "it's the intent of the listener" thing throws up, for me, exactly the same problems as the intent of the speake...

HoN has persistent stats. Not that people check them. This should improve on release, as it'll mean you have to pay for another account to play smurfs. When you join a game, make sure nobody is sporting a 1.1+ Kill to death ratio (right click on person in chat window -> view stats) and you can be su...

There are a number of variants on it now.
I even made a really bad 3D version myself in the DX SDK, once. It was quite bad, though, so I won't subject you all to it.

Competitive Multiplayer 1v1 or 2v2 SupCom FA is one of the most thrilling things I've played. The fighting starts within 2-3 minutes and doesn't really let up until someone dies. It's good times.

Oh yeah, the AI is abysmal. It starts a new thread for each fireabase it makes and those threads DO NOT GET TERMINATED WHEN YOU KILL THAT BASE.
Sorian and Duncane help a lot. It's more telling that Sorian is now working on Supcom 2 ;)

I had an E6600, 2GB RAM and an 8800GT. Hardly bleeding edge, and I could play with everything except shadows maxed out (shadows are off for me, they're irritating) at a constant 30+FPS and decent simspeed. I'd only drop below 0 if the game was going on for more than 40 minutes, and that was 4v4 Seto...

No, there are pretty much none. The closest you have is, weirdly, the C&C serires, in which your money count slowly decreases over time (but energy is only used when a building is placed). Other than that, it's all static, as far as I'm aware. I play Supcom (FA) and some TA still, if people are ...

Cowboy up, cupcakes. If you can't afford it, or don't want to pay for it, you don't have it. That's how this stuff works. it's perfectly explicable. Explosions move out in a sphere rather than in an AABB (no idea why they said OBB, it's Axis-Aligned, not Object based), meaning that if you're 160 away from a rocket you will now always survive, not die sometimes.
