Re: 1190: "Things that are on my side for 600, Alex!"

Not really a fan of the transformation this place has undergone since I departed yesterday. I Guess I shall resort to just watching progress with no commentary until completion. I have so many more free moments in my day now that I shant have to keep up with countless postings.

Re: 1190: "Time"

I wonder if the flags are made out of sand. They can't be: we saw Megan carrying them around in 163. And so they cannot be made from sand? She could just have made them somewhere else and carried them there. I'd expect good sand to stick together well enough to be able to do something like that (th...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Thanks :-) Actually, I would not be surprised if Randall hasn't automated his entire xkcd operation by now. He probably has programs that scan these forums and the web for comic ideas and generates them automatically. Heck, it was probably a program that came up with the idea for this very comic AN...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I'm curious if this thread will surpass the "Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Discussion"thread we had over at Droid Forums.... 6504 posts over a little less than a month of waiting for that damn phone. Of course, it got the point we were posting just for the sake of posting and had long periods o...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I think all this dialogue puts paid to the idea floated back in the early 80s that this is an algorithmically generated comic. Plausible if they were just building sandcastles, but there is too much else going on here. I challenge the "algorithmically generated" theory - we haven't found ...

I'd say it is this or the melting/freezing point happens to be right near ambient temp and pressure and the liquid and solids are in a constant mixing phase change at the boundry.

Re: 1190: "Time"

Anyone notice that Cueball's voice is coming from pretty high up? Yeah, that is weird. I think that is simply required for the proper flow of conversation... The position of the text, yes, but the line going off screen terminates too high, it should curve down and be closer to the water surface. Ei...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Gosh, you all bloody love 103 don't you? Well, I have something to tell you!! Just because it contains the most 'action' does NOT make it the best frame. I think in terms of narrative and suspense 126 was by far superior. The not knowing, the questioning, the confusion. The laughter (brought on by ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

What, exactly, is leading people to believe the girl is sad? Since when is sitting down solely the act of a depressed person? Because I see no other clues to suggest it. Why can't it just be that she finished her part and was waiting for the guy to finish up and join her? The same thing that led pe...
