Re: 1814: "Color Pattern"

The rollover text is not appearing correctly in many browsers (at least Google Chrome and Safari on OS/X) because it's entered into the source as raw binary, and Randall has not specified a <meta charset="whatever"> tag.

Re: 1732: "Earth Temperature Timeline"

Is this the right place to report typos (ILLIAD for ILIAD, and ATILLA for ATTILA) in the current comic?

Re: "Scrabble" Discussion

Hi, John! Whoa -- how did you sim 3-handed? Hi, Cesar! Quackle supports games that aren't standard 2-player: I regularly use its 1-player mode for composing Duplicate games. If you add a third player to a game and then start simming, the numbers that come out are different from the ones you'd get i...

Re: "Scrabble" Discussion

If we look at the position as one from a tournament game, then the best move is j6 LICTORS, which Quackle sims (at two plies, 3000 iterations) five points ahead of i6 CLITORIS assuming the OTCWL2 lexicon, or 7f LICTORS in the Collins (SOWPODS) lexicon, half a point ahead of the j6 placement. It's in...
