Re: Looking for music by good *non-english* singers

Basically anything by El Trono de México, Alacranes Musical or K-Paz de la Sierra - all are duranguense bands. It's a regional mexican type of music, typically about a corny love story, but with very good tunes. They're also great to dance to, mostly because it's so easy (you don't dance so much as ...

Yeah, but not for 2 worse players of the same position. I'm looking for one player as good as him in another position. But now that Manning's out, I'll probably take that down.

Re: XKCD Fantasy NFL 2011 - Sign Up Now!

Well that brings us up to 10, which is enough for a league :D Only 4 spots left now. How long do people think we should keep the signups open? If we're doing a live draft on the 3rd September I guess there's no real urgency, and I don't think anyone has objected to that date yet. How about until th...

Re: XKCD Fantasy NFL 2011 - Sign Up Now!

I'll sign up but I've never been in a fantasy league before so I'll need some kind of run-down for the rules/scoring and stuff. Saturday would be good for me, any time for a draft. So... yeah. The point is that you have a team of unique players (no one else on the league have any of them) who score...

Re: XKCD Fantasy NFL 2011 - Sign Up Now!

The league (NFL.com) I've managed for the last 2 years and worked very well allows you to have any combination of bench players for flexibility - For example, last year I had Peyton Manning, so I didn't need a backup QB, but had very bad WRs, so I had lots of benches to at least gain some points. Th...

We could do the draft a Sunday morning, about 12 pm CST, so people in Europe are doing it at 6 pm, and people in the US west coast at 10 am, so reasonably comfortable hours for those involved.

Clock is slow in Windows

My clock is very slow in my computer when I use Windows 7. The clock's "seconds" actually take 1.5 - 2.5 s, and it doesn't happen in Ubuntu or the BIOS setup screen (so it isn't a hardware issue). Also possibly related (but I don't think it is because the problem started before) is that my...
