Re: 1446: "???"

Am I the only one who senses a "Time" like comic? Well, the http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/landing/r_nn-nn-nn_hash.png does look like a timestamp, increasing every 5 minutes, so it has a certain "time" feel. But I suspect that he's just trolling us. Oh, and BTW, the image is perfec...

Well, that assumes that the comic takes place in the (outside) present. It might very well take place in the future, after the bees in question are extinct.

Re: 1190: "Time"

Hey, what does "ONG" stand for? Nothing. In the early newpix of time, people would talk about the DONG at which the new image is revealed. As a sound, it is written in capitals. And then, people started to get creative and instead of DONG, it became picturerelatedphrasONG. Having said tha...

Re: 1190: "Time"

It would be rather ironic to end Time now, with that "Maybe it doesn't end" dialogue. Even though I do believe that maybe Time doesn't end.

Is there a reason you can't just go with "there and bag again"?

That would be closer to the original, but "there again" felt more appropriate to the current period than "bag again".

So, does that mean the regulars will change their hats to bags?

Why not have both?

Re: 1190: "Time"

The white tide may have been there because we skipped back in TIME, to the TIME before C&M came to the beach. Not skipping in location to just follow them. Interesting theory. It would allow loopism without some of the weirdness. But I still believe that Time does not loop. OTOH, I also predict...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I don't believe in loopism. Just as Lord Randall was teasing the "endists" with the Fade, he's now teasing the loopists with this image. They might even get rid of their bags now. But personally I won't believe in loopism until we get to the point where some questions are asked a second ti...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Anyone tried generating random hashes of the appropriate length and seeing if they exist on the server? This might be pointless. In the early newpix of Time, there was a ripple in its fabric and one glimpse into the future was revealed to the Outsiders. But then Lord Randall intervened and fixed th...

Re: 1190: "Time"

And time did NOT end. Although I feel pretty secure claiming that it IS the end of not only a period, but an entire era. I believe that we'll stay with the castle and thus it's the end of the Megan&Cueball era. What the new era will be about, is unknown. My prediction is that after a few newpix ...

or the ladder is just out of reach. This seems to be the case, given frame 529, it looks like Cueball placed the ladder badly, so that it ended up under the plank they pulled up and is now out of reach. OTOH, at worst, they should be able to lower the plank again to get back to the ladder instead o...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I foresee this Cute, but I don't believe that time would end with a joke, especially not now. Given that all this new construction is a reaction to Cueball's statement in Newpix 414, it seems likely that they are building a bigger castle. The two new structures look like towers to me, so I expect t...
