Re: Long haired cute geek boys wanted!

Well seeing as we're being picky about long hair... What constitutes a boy? Is it someone with a Y chromosome? Someone with the male sex? Someone with the male gender? Someone who will grow up to be a Man? Someone who is not yet a man? Someone who aspires to masculinity? Someone who fits some vague ...

The selfish gene / other things by Dawkins? If you like politics and crap I suggest the communist manifesto, various constitutions, random political things. If you just want (a) random book/s I suggest the unbearable lightness of being, 's hilarious. Or if you want a ridiculously long classic : The ...

Re: Recommend me a book

It depends on the kind of book you want to read, could you specify genre or type please? (It'd help to know whether I should recommend the communist manifesto or the collected works of Edgar Allen Poe or The Guernsey literary and potato peel society...) (If it helps I recommend all of these, but the...

Awr Nuts, I clicked this thinking it'd be about the Morris Gleitzman / Paul Jennings children's collaboration. Those books were great. What? Those books were horrible, what with the pseudo-yet-not-really-surreal reality and the sheep and the guro... *shudders* <apologies for the off-topicity but......

Verily it be awesome.
But I must warn you Snape Quantum Physics (deserves capitalization) kills Dumbledore the whole universe at the end.
Seriously though it is awesome, especially the latter part when he actually does get into quantum physics (albeit briefly).

Re: Linux N00bs: Considered Harmful?

If you want things to stay the way they are, there is always the option of barricading yourself in slackware though. It's the über-conservative Linux hacker's choice. Surely if they were being über-conservative they would just stay at the kernel, no K / gnome / X, just wget and a blinking terminal....

Has everyone forgotten about that Australian study which demonstrated the connection between being an XY transgendered person and long androgen receptors (with longer repeat cycles, hence less penetrative to brain development)

Interjection! (And an off-topic-ish one at that) This thread assumes god exists. However: a) Either the universe is infinite or finite. b) God knows all. c) Religous text is the word of God (don't worry, I'm not going to point out paradox' in it or quote it out of context). If the universe is infini...

Your dick in a box is rejected. It comes out again but now the box is inside it. You try again and get a message stating that if you use the vending machine again it will not fit in your pants. You try again and the vending machine swallows your box in a dick. The vending machine now no linger fits ...

I vote for Stalin and Hitler and Churchhill COMBINED! If it has to be referenced I prefer to use a computer, but I find it easier to be creative when writing or using a typewriter, although I do tend to "play" when typing (ie. with a typewriter). When I write lyrics or poetry or stories I tend to do it by hand and anything school-related by k...

Obviously, they'd both be killed after trying to attack a defending phalanx on a mountain in a fortress. :) Space marines would own JRPGs in this setting, look at dawn of war.A lthough while we're on this topic one of them would kill the other but then eleventy seven billion for (;gametype = tablet...
