Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

Take a glance at Themes: many of them give minor splashes of arcane magic. Do you have DDI? I don't have DDI unfortunately, since our group doesn't play frequently enough that having that instant access is worth the cost. What source book book are themes in? Dark Sun has some themes, the rest have ...

Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

I'm currently preparing a campaign (4e) for our group to play after we finish our current one and I've had a few ideas for it that I can't quite figure out how to implement. The setting is a massive artificial plane created by powerful wizards as a haven from those pesky deities and their meddling. ...

Re: Firearms the Poll

My stance on gun laws in the US is that there shouldn't actually a ban on any type of weapon, (ie, a civilian should be able to buy a tank, artillery piece ect.) as long as the owner is willing to pay whatever possession tax that government puts on it (like the one on automatic weapons). Mainly I ge...

Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

Yes, we all are, but all the Dwarven mines stuff and the demon that we unearthed was completely unplanned by the DM, he figured we stay on the surface, so I think the eldrich army was our punishment fro making him plan out Dwarven mines on the spot.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

Getting a 37 on the arcana check would be next to impossible, even with the rest of the party as helpers, since the entire part is only three people: Levi's wizard, my Paladin, and a Rogue. Thankfully our DM has decided not to destroy us and instead has had the army occupy a large Dwarven fortress t...

I'm in the same group as Levi, though I was sadly absent for the whole forest fire event. In our last session, we, completely by accident, unleashed an eldrich army lead by a level 26 Pit Fiend and a Mind Flayer, for reference, no one in our party is more than level four. How did we do this you migh...

The plan is to drive there (from D.C.) that weekend, to be in the area at latest Monday morning. The only one that would be morally wrong(assuming the christian belief system) would be things like "oh my God", "Oh me yarm", basically things that take God's name in vain, and yet these seem to be the ones that bother the majority of Christians the least. :? That is said in th...

That words like shit, fuck, et cetera are some how morally wrong. They are verbal emphasis, nothing more, especially since such wide spread use has striped them of their original meaning in most situations. I know that most people don't consider them to be bad, but I go a Christan school, so the peo...
