Re: Do you believe ska is dead?

I think ska is still alive and well. Saw Reel Big Fish and Streetlight last summer, and they each put on really great shows. Not to mention Leftover Crack is still keeping shit rocking up in NYC.

Re: Punk Rock

As far as concerts go, I recently saw the Dead Milkmen, Leftover Crack, and Bad Brains at a festival. It was pretty much the best weekend of my life. Leftover Crack in particular put on an amazing show. I was surprised at how small the turnout for LoC was, though. I always assumed they were pretty p...

Been Here Before by Jeremy Enigk. His voice gets me all goose-pimply. His work in Sunny Day Real Estate was genius as well.

yeah, i do. and i watched some people play GH once - looked a bit pointless really. The point is most obviously to RAWK. And the only way to RAWK is to push buttons in time with circular things flying at you on a television screen. But "srsly," things don't need to have a point to be fun....

And to remain on topic, I'm listening to Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin. I love Led Zeppelin. The guitar bit on "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is so raw and powerful. It's kind of dangerous for me to listen to that in the car since I can't help but to rock out to it. Luckily for me though...

I would very much like to see peoples' reactions in that situation. That would make for quite an interesting social experiment. XP

You know what I like to do sometimes in social settings? PLAY GUITAR! But srsly, no-one plays guitar hero around a camp fire, do they? They do play it in front of a television, however. Also, it's much easier for those who are around to actually participate since it doesn't require you to have the ...

I had no idea Guitar Hero could be so polarizing. In my experience, though, Guitar Hero has increased my desire to practice guitar and has also severely improved my alternate picking ability. I'm no guitar hero in any sense, but I still think the game is incredibly fun, especially in social settings.

I am a huge fan of the game. I only own GHII, but I've found it incredibly enjoyable. I play a little real guitar as well, so that is probably a contributing factor to my infatuation. I've only had it for a few months, but it has already become one of the two video games that I regularly play. (The ...
