Re: 1190: "Time"

Luckily, I have already watched the series LOST , so I am prepared for this eventuality. But I have faith GLR will come up with something more satisfying than that. Hey that's a good example. I totally forgot about the disastrous ending to LOST . I trust that he has a better plan than that, and unl...

Re: 1190: "Time"

We're up to 1600 newpix by the way. It seems we've stopped speculating when it's going to end. Is Randall going to keep this going for years? Or is there a significant date or frame number he is planning to stop on? What is the current state of the bets on this? I had a strange thought today. What w...

Re: 1190: "Time"

So I've reread the Dialogue From the Comic from start to finish, and am trying to make sense from the conversation to see if there are recurring insights about the meaning of the sea, the river, and the OTC. Apologies if some of this has been resolved in long ago discussions hundred of pages ago. An...

Re: 1190: "Time"

actually, do we know that la petite saw them? Only Megan was in the frame when La Petite came the first time. They had both left well before the fading the second time she appeared... But Megan was lying down on the platform the first time -- maybe La Petite missed her, but then how would Megan kno...

Re: 1190: "Time"

The wording in the newpix bothers me. "We haven't been seen by any people yet." vs. "We haven't seen any people yet." Did they see a people that we didn't? It doesn't bother me, but the wording is strange. You would think her observation would be that "they haven't seen any...

Re: 1190: "Time"

So did the previous frames 1-1300 take place in a single day? This is the first time they slept for an extended period. We might be able to calculate how much time passes between newpix if it's a single day. I assume the sun never sets? It never gets dark? It'd be difficult to walk across rocky terr...

Re: 1190: "Time"

AAAAaaaargh! A spoiler! For the sake of time travelers who may pass this way, could you edit your post so that it does not contain a link to the current version of Time, lest it be a shot from the future by the time Time Pilgrims reach it? Really? The current newpix is considered a spoiler? The ver...

Re: 1190: "Time"

My take on the neat thing is that she means interesting . Interesting perhaps because of it's novelty. Perhaps where they are from, there are no trees? I agree. If you lived your whole life on the beach, and have only seen one river before ("there are other rivers"), and they've never wal...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I am surprised how often it appears something is about to happen, and then does not. The discover sliding... nothing is said. Megan falls down... Cueball must surely say something... no. A bird? No. A tree? I bet they just walk right past it speechless. At least it seems like they're going somewhere...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Megan and Cueball actually look tired now. I wonder if I'm just projecting it on them, or Randall is drawing them more slumped over.

I for one welcome the end of the mountains walk, and anxiously await the story to progress.

Re: 1190: "Time"

Interesting that Megan slid intentionally, and sliding left a visible groove in the land.

Supports the theory that they are walking on something sandy or soft. But also true that they have not been seen struggling to walk, so it's not that sandy or soft. Definitely not paved or rocky.
