Folders not found (External HDD)

So, I'm at my mom's place and I tried connecting my external HDD (WD My Book) to my her computer (Asus laptop with Windows Vista). The problem is that three of the folders can't be found. They're not hidden or anything and they don't show up when I type the path into the address bar. I tried using m...

Re: Postify your facerity

Old pic. I heard flowers were a good way of getting into a girl's pants, so I tried it on the girl behind the camera. http://i44.tinypic.com/2ng63vt.jpg Did it work? It did. .She was my girlfriend at the time so it probably would have happened anyways, but let's disregard that and pretend it was th...

Re: Help me understand Libertarianism

Most libertarians I've met accept the need for some sort of government, admittedly highly limited, to deal with simple stuff like preventing theft, murder, etc. But how does this fit in to the whole "coercion" thing? If someone, call him Bob, thinks he doesn't need any cops, is it still &...

Re: Man vs Girl

Yeah, that sort of bothers me as well. Swedish has a female equivalent of guy though, so it's not a big issue. When I speak English, I usually say "woman".

Re: Help me understand Libertarianism

Pilwelch pretty much hit the spot. The reason why government should be tightly regulated is because they have a monopoly on violence. Corporations and individuals are actually more regulated since they can't do anything the government can't do, while the government can do things that individuals can...

187 cm and a few kilos over 90, which means I'm a bit overweight. Looking to gain muscle mass and lose fat. Don't really care much about the numbers on the scale.

Oh, also, I'd like to try Tactical Nuclear Penguin even if I hate it just for some Hardcore Points. Buying a bottle (if I were over in Scotland) would definitely be a group effort though. Actually, a store in my town will get one case of this on Monday. It's $75 and I'm broke so I won't buy it. Thi...

Re: Death Metal

but i dont really consider.. joke songs.. to have musical value. I mean yeah, a song by jack black about the best song in the world, or a song about smashing in faces with hammers is funny for a little while.. but it gets old quickly. I think you've misunderstood something. Sometimes it's because i...

Re: Making the world a weirder place

One of my friends had a phone number to some girl he didn't really knew or like, so we came up with the idea to send some wierd messages with her. Me and two other guys took up our phones and sent a message saying "Happy happy sailor" three times each. I think that made her world a bit wie...

Re: Death Metal

I'm amazed by all the non-DM bands you've managed to squeeze into this thread. CoB? Seriously? And Meshuggah? They're great, but the're not DM. I like most death metal as long as it's relatively free from melodic crap (Carcass - Swansong is where I draw the line) and deathcore. Mostly brutal death l...

Nope, Swedish. Kebab pizzas are pretty common here, don't know if that's the case in Germany.

Re: Teachers that cannot teach

I took a "digital electronics" (I'm not sure that's the correct English name, but we talked about logic gates and stuff) and the teacher was probably the most boring teacher I've ever had. She was about 50 years old, spoke with an extremely monotone voice and didn't interact with the class...

After reading all of the wierd stuff in this thread, mine seem pretty normal.

Döner kebab pizza with fries. Perfect hangover food.

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

I'm Fredrik, 20 years old from Sweden. I study computer science and might have ADHD. My hobbies include beer (more tasting expensive beer than drinking lots of cheap stuff), brutal death metal, playing the bass and libertarianism. That's pretty much it.
