Re: Today I Made:

The bf is visiting today, so instead of something weird and wonderful (he's not a fan of the weird) I made pork steaks with mashed potatoes (some shameful ready-made stuff from the freezer, but I was super tired), green beans and gravy. Yummy.

Today I made mashed potatoes and my first ever meat loaf. I used minced moose (which I got from my boyfriend's father) and added some feta cheese and lots of spices and herbs. Awesome, if not a bit on the salty side, but awesome nevertheless. Being so excited about the meat loaf, I didn't check whet...

Semolina porridge for breakfast. Haven't made that in ages and forgot how annoyingly it always sticks a bit to the bottom of the pan. It was really good though, but I remembered why I don't make it more often while scrubbing the pan clean. For lunch/dinner I made risotto with tuna and green beans. I...

Sort of macaroni salad with, well, macaroni obviously, then peas, sweet corn, bell pepper, carrot, broccoli, tuna and feta cheese (or something closely resembling feta cheese), with mayo. My friend's mum always makes this for all their parties, but try as I may, my version is never as good as hers.

Re: Where did you learn to cook?

Pretty much the usual story I suppose. Helped my mum and gran in the kitchen from an early age. My mum was a single mum and had to work a lot and as I was the oldest of us three kids I pretty much was the provider of dinner (and desserts) from age 14 up until I left home at 19. I then went abroad to...
