Re: Dune Game Over! Atreides/Fremen Victory!

What would my final invention have done (it was a family atomic). I had also gotten a crysknife today, and had a one shot kill, but if a fremen had seen me use it, they'd gain the goal of killing me, and I didn't know what the mechanic for "seeing" was, so couldn't risk it.

Win condition claim, for the sake of completion:

Atreides supporter (it appears to be same as Atreides, but I dont actually count as an Atreides for purposes of faction elimination)
Survivor

I read on the wiki when I first recieved my role that Alia was possessed by a spirit or something as a result of Lady Jessica undergoing spice agony during pregnancy. That could be a possible conflict there since I don't think lynchers would mean an extra day. But apparantly this was in a later book? Could it have happened in this game?

In one of the original sequels, Alia slowly becomes "possesed" by Baron Harkonnen, and kills herself. This is a long slow process, with no basis in the first half of the first book, which supposedly the flavor is based on (though Mohiam says she is an abomination and needs to die).

I believe both of you. It totally makes sense for Hawat to be anti-Jessica, and to cop her as a Harkonnen.

The atreides/harkonnen conflict is clearly not the only conflict. corrino, fenrig- no idea what their condition is, and fremen vs spice addicts has yet to be resolved.

We know the Corrino win condition was to protect the Emperor which was lost N1. Fenring if they are telling the truth is to protect each other so that's not in conflict with anyone elses' win conditions.

Spice Addicts vs Fremen is pretty much resolved (There are quite a few Fremen left and following your death if the game does not end it should be simple enough to root out the remaining spice addicts).

Are you sure? You know everyone's secondary winning conditions? cause I have a cop as well as the kill...

And I have a doctor. And a roleblock. And a (checks to see what else you would find useful).

Do you see where I am going with your all to convenient claim that if you were really trying to sell out to the town should have mentioned to begin with?

And as far as I am concerned you being Harkonnen means you have to die, especially as I believe the Atreides-Harkonnen win conditions to be polar opposites. You want my Duke and his family dead and I cant allow that.

Re: Dune D6: Break, Eject! Eject, Eject!

Ugh Fine yes I am Gurney.

Once per Day I invent something, but I only get it the next Day.
D1 I was roleblocked.
D2 I invented a device to emulate the powers of the voice (because fuck canon, thats why). It resulted in that D3 monstrosity we'll call "The machine"
D3 I invented a "Hand crafted Caladian Baliset carved by musical monks who have lived in solitude practicing the art of musical instrument carving for no less then 15 years and have sworn a blood oath of devotion to the Atreides house" (meant to be a Varota Baliset, but couldn't remember or find the name in time), which allowed me to vote block someone, but at the cost of my own vote. Knowing amt would be lynched, I decided to deny her the satisfaction of voting herself. For the curious (misterk) thats why I didnt vote amt, I had no vote.
D4 I invented what BN got. I had a 20% chance of failure using it (death resulting) due to inexperience, so I figured that a Fremen might be able to overcome that. Also, someone claimed that long is almost certainly town
D5 I invented a spice factory, inspired by guesses as to what "the machine" was before it was mostly publicly revealed. I was allowed to buy one person's vote today. I bought our lyncher's, thus removing a wildcard vote.
D6 I invented a [redacted]. It does [unknown, will know D7].

Oh and
Vote misterk

You are clearly not lying about not having a townie kill, because you have a kill, lied about it, and thus are scum.

I didn't say Harkonnen's couldn't work with anyone else.

I feel the notion they could work with Fremen (also Atreides but that wasn't brought up) is ridiculous and anyone who has flavor knowledge at all should know better, thus I feel there may have been a hidden agenda behind the comment.
